Drinking lots of Water and nothing else.

I took a whole dose of Lortab tonight to make it easier to sleep and now I itch all over:( Not sure why. It jus started all of a sudden. I am going to take some tylenol PM before bed. It has Benedril in is to help with the itches.

My Mom snuck in and saw my Xray when I was in recovery after the Barium and she said the hole is TEENY!! I am sure it will go down as the swelling goes down. I do know that he was able to get a 10cc band on, but I guess it was a tight squeeze.

If you see Tina in there today Pam (she was my nurse) tell her I said hi

I will tell you a story: The overnight nurse coincidently ended up being on of my husbands coworkers wife.

They were talking about jambalya for Fat Tuesday and yadda yadd and she said that is my husband.

It is a small world.

I will say Hi to Tina if I see her.

Chris, what is the pros and cons about band sizes; do you know?

I dont know if there is any pros or cons, just makes a difference about the size of your stomach. I believe they try and get the smallest one on they can so you have more adjustment as you go along.

I know Dr. Kozar just "cringes" when I ask my questions! LOL!

Chris on your new computer do you have a fax program?

I will fax you the paperwork the nutrionist gave me yesterday, really good tips on picking out foods and if they are good or bad foods.

It would not hurt...

Gail, Just trying to keep you up to date on what you might expect.

I feel well enough today that we are going to go to costco tonight to do some shopping. I wanted to go on a walk, but as cold as it is, this will work better.

I have not had any (real) pain meds all day, just tylenol. I have a feeling thet the Lortab is plugging me up so the sooner I can get off that the better. I may still take some tonight, but we will see

I used to live in Reno and graduated from UNR in 96. Just wanted to say hi and give a shout out to Reno! Good luck everyone, I wish I had a Virginia Lake to walk around. Just think how good you'll look at Tahoe this summer.

Take Care,

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
