Lai84 4 Posted September 11, 2013 Hi everyone! I am almost 3 months postop and I just recently stopped going to my personal trainer. It gets expensive after a while and I realized that throughout my journey with him, since before I had my surgery, I've learned a lot to be able to sustain myself as much as possible in a gym or working out on my own. Problem is, I'm super lazy still :'( I'm looking for a workout partner. Anybody in Southern California near the Orange County area? I think working out with someone that knows where I'm coming from would be easier than working out with a bunch of meat heads gearing up for a fitness competition. I'm easily intimidated by all the "professionals" in the gym setting.

Lai84 4 Posted September 12, 2013 I so need a gym buddy.. Im such a lazy bastid.. I live in Downey were are you located? I'm in La Mirada! Not too far. Do you have a gym membership anywhere? I'm currently shipping around for one. I'm really liking Golds Gym in Fullerton so far. It's super nice and clean and doesn't have that super crowded feel that the larger gyms have
Lai84 4 Posted September 12, 2013 I'm in Long Beach. I am not an exercise lover (no running) but would love to at least give it a try! Long Beach isn't far either! I'm by no means a runner. Although I'd like to start tackling some good hikes... My trainer would make me do lots of sprints. They are short distance, intense runs but left you feeling like you could kick some a$$! Maybe running is in our futures!

I have a gym membership here where I live & haven't been going for the same reasons you mentioned (lazy & intimidated by the meat heads & no gym partner) lol but I'm totally down to meet up for a hike sometime!! I heard of a trail I think by El Monte they leads to a waterfall.. There's also the Hollywood sign trail, Malibu has a bunch of trails, there's a trail/stairs hike thing in culver city & Runyon canyon in w Hollywood.....
