gamergirl 4,610 Posted September 11, 2013 Okay, it's happening. Watching restaurant serving sizes is making me angry. Who could possibly have eaten all this much food for Breakfast? Even pre-sleeve, I know I couldn't have finished a third of it. Kind of makes me angry now how every restaurant in this country appears to be doing its part to make us overweight. I ordered 2 eggs with ham. See what I got? Way more than 2 eggs, a thick chunk of ham, hash browns and toast. See what I was able to eat? All the rest will go down the trash. What a waste. 2 NMJG and Ms skinniness reacted to this
PGee 318 Posted September 11, 2013 wow....but it looked yummie.......When I went out to Breakfast, I ordered an egg off the "sides" menu.....never could eat all that in one setting, either. 2 Ms skinniness and PdxMan reacted to this

They didn't have a kids menu either. Just look at all that food! Ridiculous right? 1 Ms skinniness reacted to this
Sassygirl06 962 Posted September 11, 2013 It is hard to watch others eating that much food....I take home the leftovers usually and I have two or three more meals out of it....which makes me feel better about it, less of an impact my pocketbook 3 gmanbat, gamergirl and Ms skinniness reacted to this
Andrew0929 1,101 Posted September 11, 2013 Unfortunately I could polish that off very easily ... I need to be sleeved. 5 Ms skinniness, Ms.Yvette, endless80 and 2 others reacted to this
kj44 215 Posted September 11, 2013 I usually end up with three or four meals from my order when eating out. My daughter in law saves me the plastic baby food containers with lids ( she has twin boys so goes thru a lot). They work perfectly and I freeze the portions. 3 Ms skinniness, gamergirl and PdxMan reacted to this

In which case you may appreciate the sleeve even more than I do--and I REALLY love mine. See how little I could eat? Granted I'm only 6 weeks out but still...it's a relief to not even have to wonder if I should eat more. When is your surgery? 1 Ms skinniness reacted to this

BKLYNgal87 503 Posted September 11, 2013 I'm a big fan of ordering off the appetizers menu nowadays. But I agree that restaurants are overfeeding us with fat, sugar and salt because that's how they keep customers coming. It's an addictive combination and they know it. 2 gamergirl and Flup reacted to this
Ms skinniness 3,003 Posted September 11, 2013 I love ordering eggs a la carte.....or as an addition to someone who I'm dining with. It's so cheap and I don't have left over food......
PrettyLilButterfly 124 Posted September 11, 2013 The portions are beyond ridiculous. I order Apps or A-la-cart most times. I tend to order alot of kids meals as well. I've only had 2 restaurants deny me. I do love the leftovers, but when you're out of town and don't have a refrigerator in your room, not so easy. In those cases, I find the smallest A-la-cart or app I can. 1 gamergirl reacted to this

I struggle when I travel for business and order in hotels. Going out to restaurants is easier because they have a bit more variety. Yesterday we were working through lunch. The menu basically had Soup, salad, and sandwiches. I did turkey pastrami, meat only. No bread, cheese, veggies, sides. I guess that just sounded stupid to the chef so he sent pastrami, cheese, veggies, fruit, and a set of Condiments. Really? More waste. I know they mean well and I should just take a chill pill. 1 Olivia2233 reacted to this
No game 14,437 Posted September 11, 2013 I think the thing that strikes me more about that plate, is the lack of color.... I know that you can't eat veggies yet, but for the average American that is a typical meal of beige type food... 2 gmanbat and gamergirl reacted to this

Apparently kids only eat French toast, waffles, and pancakes around here. We make our son eat Protein first because otherwise, like us pre-sleeve, he'd prob live on carbs if we let him. 2 ChaoticBliss and SuzyB reacted to this
