This is not debate. When you debate, you exchange with those who have some idea what they are talking about. This is a comedy routine engageing you.

I found him interesting and fun to debate, as several of you seem to also. He has set ideas, but don't we all. Look forward to talking again Mr. Cusano.

oy veh!

Your'e the one calling her a media whore and so many other things. It's vulgar because I think you are pretty much the same? It is what it is!

This is base and vulgar.

Turn the other cheek

And I am only calling you out on this since you are the only one that tries to say you are a better Christian than anyone else

Ron Cusano - serious question. How can you tell Carlene that (paraphrasing) "the nonsense people say on this thread frustrates you", and then make statements like "Apparenlt you don't know much about anything"? How could you possibly have any knowledge about what he knows outside of what he has stated to you or made publically available? You have no idea what his education is, or his hobbies, or what areas he advises in. Or what books he has read, or what shows he has watched, or what discussions he has had, or any of the other thousands off ways we receive knowledge. How does him disagreeing with you (which we know makes him "wrong") qualify you, in the slightest, to make any kind of judgement about what he does or doesn't know about "anything"? How is that not nonsense?

Uh oh, now we're back to the near corner stage, where the attacks start coming. I'm vile, pathetic, disgusting, etc. -- and you're pretty much the same as Ann Coulter. Just take it for the desperation move it is and realize "That's all the better he is." When you see it from that perspective, it's virtually impossible to become upset about it. I'd love to attribute it to thick skin, but it's really just logic.

Ron, once again you're confused. wavydaby didn't call Ann Coulter a media whore, Carlene did. You even made a nasty remark directly to Carlene about it - that's why wavydaby said what she did to you. She wasn't in your initial line of fire on this one. So, you're wrong. I don't know where you get this stuff.

The Book of Isaiah was written in Hebrew genius, not Greek. Every Sunday school kids knows that. Your ingnorance is showing again! Maybe this garbage is being taught in your Catholic monestaries, but it is certainly not scriptural or theologically sound. You are a piece of work!

Thanks, Greg. You're restoring my faith in mankind. :)

This Ron guy is 62 years old, set in his ways, with very limited study. He probably has only read the KJV, and knows nothing of world mythologies or even Gnostic Christianity. Back when he was my age, the misconceptions he's preaching now are what was taken as literal truth by the general congregation.

Even now, the difference between Lucifer and Satan is only starting to penetrate mainstream Christianity. And they have no idea about some of the deeper mysteries, because those are usually taught only in the Monasteries. So what are ya gonna do? LOL!

Well remember - I was one of the worst of them, even though I wasn't active in the thread, and Laurend is a moderator. Green was a he, then a she, and now a he again. And on...

Being a Jew means being a decendant of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. A A Gentile can convert to the Jewish Religion, but that does not make him a Jew.

That's right! A Jew that has found his Messiah considers himself a completed Jew. That is not terminolgy, that come from Jews who believe in Jesus. Apparently you don't know any. Apparenlt you don't know much about anything.

If I convert to Judaism, I am indeed a Jew. If you are referring to being a Hebrew, however, I can see your meaning. But, then you also have the term Israeli, which mixes more people in. And, considering the original test of being a Hebrew was, being from a Hebrew womb, you isolate more people. Add in 4000 years of outside marriages and childbirths, and I believe very few people know if they are truly a 'Chosen One'.

Today, the various Jewish denominations have sharp disagreements about the nature of the Messiah and the Messianic Age, with some groups holding that the Messiah will be a person and other groups holding that the Messiah is a representation of the Messianic Age itself. Traditional thought and current Orthodox thought has mainly held that the Messiah will be an anointed one (messiah) descended from his father through the Davidic line of King David who will gather the Jews back in the Holy Land, the Land of Israel, and usher in an era of peace. Other denominations, such as Reform Judaism, perceive a Messianic Age when the world will be at peace, but do not agree if there will be a messiah as the leader of this era.

And a jew for jesus is no longer a jew, simple. In fact, Israel has refused citizenship to many JfJ as they no longer are classified Jewish.

And, from Hebrew, translated into Greek. Then Jerome translated from Greek to Latin.....have you no concept of the shift of languages that caused such misinterpretations? Then, Latin to English....and wow, a lot of meanings changed.

Ok, for that matter what qualifies you to CONTINUOUSLY state what I do or do not know?

We're back to the "-eD" word mentality, Ron. What's obvious to you is not obvious to everyone. I thought we already covered that.

When you say "Apparently you don't know any. Apparently you don't know much about anything" NOTHING about that says, "you know nothing about theology" to me. ANYTHING is not synonymous with THEOLOGY. So NO, Ron, I don't know that.

And apparently you don't know girls aren't usually named "Greg".

Hey Ron, do you want to hang out tonight?

From the sounds of the posts on the last few pages, I may be the only friend you have left here at LBT.

Let's go out and have a few drinks. I'm buying...as long as you wear your miniskirt.

Is that like "I'm leaving this thread" and "I'm ignoring you"? Paraphrasing, o/c.

TOM: I think you'll have to watch out. He might want to convert you to a full-fledged Jew. He'll do that so he can help you to become a "completed Jew" after that. It's his mission. It's his ministry. Should fit in nicely over a coupla brewskis.

I joined yesterday when I was struggling with this preop diet...
It typically comes and goes, the hard times and easier times. I'm on day 6 of 14  shakes, water, sf Popsicles and jello. And I might actually be losing my mind. But, oh dear lord has the fear set in. Not about the surgery itself, but life afterwards. If I feel this crappy on the preop diet, am I going to feel like this forever after?
I know most of the answers are no, not forever. It might be worse after for a while, then get better. I know it's a more of a mental challenge than physical after the first couple weeks of healing. I get all of that. But I'm starting to feel scared about losing myself afterwards.
It might be my hormones or desire to chew something salty talking.. It may go away soon or tomorrow.. I can hope, anyway. But right now.. The fear is real.

And this liquid diet can bite me.

Fear is normal, but if it makes you feel any better, I'm 4.5 months post-op and the pre-op diet was by far the hardest part of the whole process. There will be challenges and a lot of new things to learn, but I can honestly say at this point I feel so much more "back to normal" and was even able to go on a week-long vacation with my kids without stressing over it. It's so worthwhile.

      2. OhMyGawdItzKla

@NickelChip This actually does make me feel better! Thank you so much! After the onslaught of Covid, we've all had to deal with a "new normal", so I know it's possible. It's just the fear and frustration in this moment that makes me question if I can find another "new normal" afterwards. The thought of just a few more months seems daunting some times, but I really do appreciate input and real experience. I'll use that to get me through for a few more hours! LOL. Thank you so much! And I'm glad everything is going so well for you! ❤️

You can try. I've read other people have had good results with protein-shake popsicles, etc. My personal experience with it? Sucked.

I tried making 'fudgesicles' with a couple different flavors of a premade shake, as well as a protein powder I blended myself and all of them came out revolting? The powder ones, all the protein sunk to the middle; the premade shakes, the popsicle had a disgusting texture and the protein seemed to leave a weird fluffy film on the outside? I couldn't stomach it.

Maybe look into flavoring additives? I was able to have sugar-free coffee /soda syrup flavorings, sugar-free drink flavorings and baking additives like almond, rum or pepperment extract. The extracts helped me the most as they added no extra sweetener.

On the other hand, if you can get your hands on an unflavored/unsweetened protein powder, the syrup flavorings are perfect. I love to use Boost "Just Protein" (which is unflavored) with milk and a Chai-flavored sugarfree syrup.

        Good luck!
