Anti-Semitism In France!

Recommended Posts

He didn't lie! He presented the intelligence that was provided to him by the CIA and the British. Granted it was faulty intelligence, at least in part, but he didn't lie. If that was something that liberals could prove, we would be looking at a pending impeachment. That is pure liberal hype!

This was not true. As I have previously posted in other threads, Hans Blix was the head of an international team placed in Iraq; his team was sponsored by the UN with the mandate to search out any and all weapons of mass destruction. They found none and Blix made a report to this effect to the American Congress prior to the invasion of Iraq.

It is important to note that Blix had previously headed up a team of international WMD hunters in Iraq after the Desert Storm-Iraq-Kuwait skirmish in the early 1990s. He and his team spent some years in Iraq at this time.

He was recalled by the UN to do further further research in Iraq with a team of his choosing post 9/11. He and his team of international WMD hunters found nothing in the country and did report this to Congress before the invasion of Iraq.

As to Cusano's allegations that these weapons were shipped to Syria at this point, this is questionable. It is my understanding that our space recognisance technology is so sophisticated that the movement of this materiel could not have passed unspotted.

When we went to Alaska last summer we were shown areas that used to hold massive glaciers for all of recorded history until recently. The people who live there told us that they had never seen the glaciers melting as much as they are today. That's just one girl's experience, obviously isn't scientific or perhaps even true. But it sure made me think a lot about whether we should believe the scientists and environmentalists or whether we should believe the politicians and people who say they just don't buy it, because this is just a cyclical change we're experiencing.

Besides, would you rather believe your president or your lying eyes?

Oof! Green wishes she was there with you, grrl.......... It would have been very much fun to see an important part of the globe with someone fun, eh. Green has also got to admit that she has attempted to travel in the polar regions a number of times now but has found this to be very difficult and very expensive. It is much easier and cheaper for Canuck Grrl to go to India or Turkey than to travel to the polar regions.:phanvan Colour this grrl green with envy, eh............:)

So I'm asking again, because if you answered I didn't see your response. If you profess to be a Christian and do NOT believe the Bible is literal, do you believe that Jesus is the Son of God, that He was crucified, died, and was resurrected on the third day?

The title Lucifer, means light-bringer, and he's frequently referred to as the Morning Star.

In the Bible, Jesus frequently refers to himself as the Morning Star.

Is Jesus an avatar of Lucifer?

People keep speaking of Hell. But in the Bible, there is no Hell. There is only Paradise and outside the gates of Paradise. (In what I've read, at least). Could someone point me to Hell?

What about the books that didn't make it into the Bible? The Gospel of Thomas? The Gospel of Enoch?

No one comes to faith in Jesus through anything other than the Bible.
And just as you may get accused of beating a dead horse, telling people they have to believe my way or they're going to hell, and a host of other things -- I may get accused of ripping things apart, whining, being pathetic, vile, disgusting, and telling lies from the bowels of hell. Oh wait, I already have.

But I do have an honest comment, which could be interpreted as a question as well. I believe people come to faith in Jesus through other people all the time. So I'm not sure if "through" means "through reading", or "through analzying", or what. Do you believe that everyone out there who would answer "Yes!" to the question, "Do you have faith in Jesus" has read the bible?

The term "Morning Star" is used twice in scripture, KJV and both time it refers to jesus and is located in the Rook of Revelations.

Allow me to point out HELL to you that you say does not appear in the Bible . . .

Matt. 5:22 Matt: 5:29 Matt: 10:28 Matt: 11:23 Matt: 16:18

Matt: 18:9 Matt: 23:15 Matt:23.33 Mark 9:43 Mark 9:45

Mark: 9:47 Luke: 10:15 Luke: 12:5 Luke: 16:23 Acts: 2:27

Act: 2:31 James 3:6 2Peter 2:4 Rev: 1:18 Rev. 6:8

Rev: 20:13 Rev: 20:14

The books of The Gospel of Thomas? The Gospel of Enoch are not canon because the theologians did not consider them inspired, accurate or to have spiritual authority.

You are wrong on all three points!

Coming to faith in Jesus literally means "believing we is who he claims to be, believing what he claims to have done, and accepting him as your sin offering to God"!

So I think your question actually is, HOW do people come to faith in Jesus. The scriptures say "faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God" (the Bible) It is the scriptures that bring about faith, but the knowledge of the scriptures could come from reading them yourself, believing the testimony of someone else, hearing a preacher, etc. Ultimately, it is the message contained within the scriptures that bring about saving faith.

Does this explain it?

And just as you may get accused of beating a dead horse, telling people they have to believe my way or they're going to hell, and a host of other things -- I may get accused of ripping things apart, whining, being pathetic, vile, disgusting, and telling lies from the bowels of hell. PS - I don't consider this "ripping things apart, whining, being pathetic, vile, disgusting, and telling lies from the bowels of hell"! I consider it a good and legitimate question worthy of a serious answer.

Lisa made my point about believing without having to take the Bible literally word for word. I made it earlier too, but thanks Lisa for repeating what we've already said over, and over and over. Maybe if we say it a few more times it will sink in.

I tell you what then, when the Taliban and Osama come for a visit, you be the first one to greet them with a kiss!
Are they going to fly "Air Taliban" or "Air Al-Quiada"? Or are they coming in their war ships or air force?

BTW, how come your hero, George W. BuSh gave the Taliban $43,000,000 in April or May of 2001?

Anyway, I hope t he way of Jesus is not to torture 100 innocent Muslims until we find one bad one. If we do that, we may be creating 99 bad ones.

St. John VI, 1-15: " After these things Jesus went over the sea of Galilee, which is the sea of Tiberias. And a great multitude followed him, because they saw his miracles which he did on them that were diseased. And Jesus went up into a mountain, and there he sat with his disciples. And the passover, a feast of the Jews, was nigh. When Jesus then lifted up his eyes, and saw a great company come unto him, he saith unto Philip, Whence shall we buy bread, that these may eat? And this he said to prove him: for he himself knew what he would do. Philip answered him, Two hundred penny-worth of bread is not sufficient for them, that everyone of them may take a little. One of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, saith unto him, There is a lad here, which hath five barley loaves, and two small fishes: but what are they among so many? And Jesus said, Make the men sit down. Now there was much grass in the place. So the men sat down, in number about five thousand. And Jesus took the loaves; and when he had given thanks, he distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to them that were set down; and likewise of the fishes as much as they would. When they were filled, he said unto his disciples, Gather up the fragments that remain, that nothing be lost. Therefore they gathered them together, and filled twelve baskets with the fragments of the five barley loaves, which remained over and above unto them that had eaten. Then those men, when they had seen the miracle that Jesus did, said, This is of a truth that prophet that should come into the world. When Jesus therefore perceived that they would come and take him by force, to make him a king, he departed again into a mountain himself alone."

Just like Jesus, BuSh has Multiplied the terrorist threat by treating innocent Muslims like they were bad. The result has been the greatest recruitment drive that Al-Quiada could hope for. Yes, BuSh has taken a page right from the Bible.

Christianity has a great depth of spiritual mysticism, and esoteric knowledge to offer. Unfortunately, much of it is lost to literal interpretations and inept priests.

You are wrong on all three points!

Not really. Typical round-about.

1) You never addressed the first point. You're only arguing about the frequency of how often Jesus refers to himself as the Morning Star.

2) I stated in what I've read, there is Paradise, and then the gnashing of teeth of those who are locked out of Paradise. I asked to have the actual "Hell" pointed out to me, as I'm curious about where it is.

3) More likely, it's because what they have to say challenges the uninspired, idiotic dogma of the Church.

I think there's a difference between Christianity and Churchianty. The Church is an institution that thrives on blind faith, constant donations, and inane dogma.

Maybe we should have just given them free medical care, Visa cards and drivers licences without ID, like the illegal immigrants, and maybe those big, bad terrorists would then be nice to us! If you love them so much, I am sure you could find a home there if you didn't mind giving up your comfortable western lifestyle. I mean, that would be the "liberal" thing to do, right!

WTF? Uh, yeah, and the conservative neo-con thing to do is to give terrorist organizations a butt-load of money, fly Bin Laden's family out of the US so they don't get questioned, protect Saudi Arabia even though most of the terrorists came from there, start a war with a country that has nothing to do with the terrorists but has oil, lie to the American people repeatedly and send thousands of our children to their death.

But, yeah, lets sit here and make inane comments about the liberals, because they're soooooo dangerous.

Four days post surgery. I am sipping as fast as I can and getting NO WHERE near the goal of 60 - 80 grams of protein or the 64 oz of liquids. I just feel FULL. I don't know if it can still be the gas build up (I would think by now that would be gone) but it is a struggle to drink. And so far I have not had the nausea or spasms and don't want to wander into that territory by pushing too hard with liquids. I about passed out today as it was my most "strenuous" day. Went from second story to basement for shower and I was sure I was going to pass out. Looking back on my last few days I have had a total of less than 1000 calories. Am I just not getting enough nourishment in me? Once again a friday where I can't get ahold of the doc until Monday rolls back around so I am hoping maybe someone here has some experience on how to keep energy going. I do have fibromyalgia too and that may be where some added fatigue comes into play. How did you all fair with the goals the week after surgery?

2 days until I fly out to San Diego to have my Bypass Surg. in Tiajuana Mexico. Not gonna lie, the nerves are starting to surface. I don't fear the surgery itself, or the fact that I'm traveling alone, but its the aftermath that I'm stressing about the most, after this 8 week wait. I'm excited to finally be here, but I am really dreading the post surgical chapter. I know its going to be tough, real tough and I think I'm just in my head to much now that the day i here. Wish me luck, Hopefully I'm one of the lucky ones, and everything goes smoothly. Cant wait to give an exciting update,. If there is anyone else have a June bypass or even a recent one, Id love to have someone to compare war stories with. Also, anyone near San Antonio Tx? See ya soon with the future me. 💜

      2. Selina333

I'm in Houston so kind of near you and had the sleeve in Dec. Down 61 lbs. Feeling better. Was definitely worth it. I hope the everything is going well for you. Update us when you can!

I am back home after my bypass surgery in Tiajuana. I'm post op day 4. Everything went great! I guess I'm one of the lucky ones who have not encountered much pain at all, no nausea thus far and I'm having no problem keeping down broths and water. Thank you for your well wishes. I cant wait to keep up this journey and have a chance at better health and simply better quality of life. I know there will be bumps in the road ahead, and everything won't be peaches and cream, but at least I have a great start so far. 😍

I am new here today... and only two weeks out from my sleeve surgery on the 23rd. I am amazed I have kept my calories down to 467 today so far... that leaves me almost 750 left for dinner and maybe a snack. This is going to be tough for two weeks... but I have to believe I can do it!

Hey everyone. I'm new here so I thought I should introduce myself. I am 53y/o and am scheduled for Gastric Bypass on June 25th, 2025. I'm located in San Antonio, Texas. I will be having my surgery in Tiajuana Mexico. I've wanted this for years, but I always had insurance where bariatric procedures were excluded. Finally I am able to afford to pay out of pocket.  I can't wait to get started, and I hope I'm prepared for the initial period of "hell". I know what I have signed up for, but I'm sure the good to come will out way the temporary period of discomfort and feelings of regret. I'd love to find people to talk to who have been through the same procedure or experience before. So I look forward to meeting you all. Hope you have a great week!

I'm so happy for you! You are about to change your life. I was so glad to get the sleeve done in Dec. I didn't have feelings of regret overall. And I'm down almost 60 lbs. I do feel a little sad at restaurants. I can barely eat half a kid's meal. I get adults meals often because kid ones don't have the same offerings at times. Then I feel obligated to eat on that until it's gone and that can be days. So the restaurant thing isn't great for me. All the rest is fine by me! I love feeling full with very little. I do wish I could drink when eating. And will sip at the end. Just a strong habit to stop. But I'm working on it! You will do fine! Just keep focused on your desire to be different. Not better or worse. But different. I am happy both ways but my low back doesn't like me that heavy. So I listened (also my feet!). LOL! Update us on your journey! I'm not far from you. I'm in Houston. Good luck and I hope it all goes smoothly! Would love to see pics of the town you go to for this. I've never been there. Neat you will be traveling for this! Enjoy the journey. Take it one day at a time. Sometimes a few hours at a time. Follow all recommendations as best you can. 💗

      2. Doughgurl

Thank you so much for your well wishes. I am hoping that everything goes easy for me as well. We don't eat out much as it is, so it wont be too bad in that department. Thankfully. Also, I hear you regarding your back and feet!! I'd like to add knees to the list. Killing me as we speak! I'm only 5' so the weight has to go. Too short to carry all this weight. Menopause really did a doosey on me. (😶lol) My daughter also lives in Houston. with her Husband and my 5 grand-littles. I grew up in Beaumont, so I know Houston well, I will be sure to keep in touch and update you on my journey. I may need some advice in the future, or just motivation. Thank You so much for reaching out, I was hoping to connect with someone in the community. I really appreciate it. 💜
