LipstickLady 25,682 Posted September 9, 2013 "Only" 13 pounds in 19 DAYS? That's NOTHING to be disappointed about. Yes, if that great of a success disappoints you, stay off the scale. 6 Ms skinniness, melissa130, MIJourney and 3 others reacted to this
DonRodolfo 1,416 Posted September 9, 2013 I'm so disappointed I was sleeved On August 20 AND only lost 13lbs smh head heart broken AND I walk everyday four miles STOP IT - STOP IT RIGHT NOW!!! Promise me (but mostly yourself) that you will weigh no more than once a week. I SAID DO IT! (The truth is, you don't have enough data to claim you haven't been successful at losing weight. Your snapshot needs to be a minimum of 6* weeks - between August 20 and now is not 6 weeks. If, in a six-week period, you haven't lost a pound or you are gaining weight, then it's time to talk to be concerned.) (* I learned the 6 week thing at my last visit with one of my surgeons.) 2 LipstickLady and melissa130 reacted to this

You are REALLY dating yourself with those choices. (Get it? Dating yourself? See what I did there???) 3 gmanbat, DonRodolfo and Ms skinniness reacted to this
MIJourney 490 Posted September 9, 2013 Please keep in mind you will not see the scale move every day. If you do, yay for you but it honestly doesn't happen that way for most. You may have weeks where the scale stays the same. Just want you to know what may be coming down the road. I'm just happy the scale is not moving up and my yo-yo dieting days are over 2 DonRodolfo and Ms skinniness reacted to this

endless80 697 Posted September 9, 2013 I've been reading a few reports like this on these boards. Do you think you're gonna get the surgery and drop 50 pounds within the first month? If you do, no offense, get a grip. This is not reality. 3 LipstickLady, Catherine707 and Ms skinniness reacted to this
buplee 556 Posted September 9, 2013 We have all been there when we are new. We read about people who lost 40lbs in 30 days and we feel like a failure because we only lost 10-20lbs. STOP THE MADNESS AND THINK. You're losing weight and will start to see the pounds melt away over the coming months. Stay encouraged and be happy that you are losing weight at a fast rate. Now, step away from the scale and put it a way for a week. Weighing yourself multiple times a day serves no purpose other than to make you crazy. Your weight will vary with food, Water, bm, time of the day or month for women, and our workout. Good luck on your respective journeys. 2 Catherine707 and endless80 reacted to this
