I've been reading a few reports like this on these boards. Do you think you're gonna get the surgery and drop 50 pounds within the first month?

If you do' date=' no offense, get a grip. This is not reality.[/quote']

She needs encouragement, not to be ridiculed. Have a heart dude.

I'm so disappointed I was sleeved On August 20 AND only lost 13lbs smh head heart broken AND I walk everyday four miles

Hey girl!!!! Keep your head up!!!! Remember to put all your faith in gods hands & let him guide you through your weight loss journey!!! Have your husband hide the scale on you & try to only weigh yourself once a week. If you have trouble doing only once a week then allow yourself 2 days a week to weigh in. "A watched pot never boils" if you keep watching the scale every day or several times a day the process seems to go slower because we are watching every pound/every ounce on our bodies. I know how it is, I too was weighing myself everyday & it would make me so upset whem I did not see the resy lts I thought I should. But now I try to not weigh so often & try to stick to once a week. Dont stress yourself out so much about the numbers on the scale. Go by how you feel, measure yourself weekly. Sometimes when the scale dont move you could be losing inches instead of pounds. But most of all pray to our lord jesus christ to guide you along your journey!!!! He is always with you & all things are possible when we trust in him. Dear Lord, please watch over Dee & help give her the encouragement & strength she needs along her weight loss journey & in all aspects of her life & guide her through all the things she is going through AMEN!!!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
