jamie5711 27 Posted September 9, 2013 Im 3 months post op and so far ive lost 48 lbs.. I'm going on 3 1/2 weeks now and still the scale won't move.. I'm trying to be positive and I know it happens to everyone, but I keep thinking maybe I won't lose no more, because nothing hasn't worked for me before why would it work for me now... I know everything I've read says the scale will start moving again but when? I've been in tears today because I'm stuck and im doing everything I should be doing.. Okay I'm done with my pity party!! 1 Ms skinniness reacted to this
MIJourney 490 Posted September 9, 2013 Sorry you're frustrated. It will work for you because 80-85% of your stomach is no longer there. It's not a race. You are now 48 lbs lighter and instead of yo-yoing up and down on other diets you are heading down. Try to think of the long term goal

FRED1977 186 Posted September 9, 2013 We all have stalls Jamie, it is very frustrating just search the forum and you will find several people that re going through the same thing. When we think about it our body's are stubborn and selfish they are used to this high calorie and fat diet and now it has to starve and give up the fat. It's a love hate type relationship. Just keep doing the right things like you posted and I'm sure you will see results. (:
cherbear33 288 Posted September 9, 2013 Thanks!! I'll keep walking every day and eating heathy and ill just have to let the scale move when my body is ready.. It just gets overwhelming at times! Have you been taking your measurements as well? Sometimes when the scale is not moving the inches are melting away. Also you could be building up some muscle which could make the scale look as though it is not moving. Stay positive & keep your head up!!! Yoh should be extremely proud of the weight you have lost so far. Dont get yourself down or stress the scale too much. It is just a number, instead loon for those no scale victories people talk about on here all the time best wishes on your journey!!!! May God Bless You!!!!
