I will be traveling by myself for surgery and was wondering if the rooms at florence Hosp are private and if they have a locking cabinet or safe in the room for my valuables?

No there isn't. You may be able to get your coordinator to hold it while in surgery. Or get suitcase that you can put a lock on.
