Ok help!! Its been 4 days now and still have alot of pain when drinking Water. Its a particular spot that I feel the pain... is this normal? Ive been walking and drinking water as recommended but its been 4 days and the pain is the same. Also I haven't had a bowl movement yet?

Not having a bowel movement is completely normal - I think mine came at 6 or 7 days out. If you're concerned, add some Miralax to your Water to see if that helps move things along. :)

As for the pain while drinking, that's definitely not a good sign. How painful is it? Regardless, I'd recommend you call your doctor as soon as possible to run it by him/her. A prolonged pain is nothing you want to mess with post-op!

I had pain too, I started taking Gas X and the gas pain went right away, I took one a half hour before every meal, it was a blessing. Try it.

My doc has a 24-hour "bariatric surgery" 800 number that's for any and all questions. If you have a similar number, call it and ask--I think that's the best thing to do if you're having pain and not sure.

You are probably taking too big of sips. That happened to me for a while, and still does sometimes. Gas x definitely helps if it is gas pain that you are having. As for the bowel movement, as long as you are passing gas everything is fine, that means things are moving along. It is normal to not have bm's for a while.
