CherylMK 0 Posted January 17, 2007 Hi everyone, I am new to the group. Not yet banded, but going thru all the post op testing & appointments. It is kind of frustrating, but I know I have to learn to be more patient with this whole process. I am 54 old and have been overweight since childhood. I am excited to get the lapband done--I know it will work. Live in southeast Michigan, my doctor is Zoe Deol. She seems quite knowledgeable as lapband surgery is all that she does. Glad to be here. tammyj 15 Posted January 17, 2007 Hi Cheryl, I know the wait can be very frustrating. I still have 2 months left and it seems like my day will never come, but I know it will. My process is a little different so I have a longer wait. You've already got the ball rolling and it sounds like you'll be having surgery soon...probably before me:rolleyes:...lol! Cheryl Hi Cheryl! Welcome. I know that the timing and waiting can be frustrating, but hopefully it will be worth it. I first started researching the band in August 2006. I attended a seminar in September and went on all the appointments and had all the procedures done. I received my phone call with a date right after the new year. My surgery is scheduled for January 30th. I too have been overweight since I was young-5 years old. I am hopeful that this will work. Best of luck to you. Gigi:)
