gamergirl 4,610 Posted September 8, 2013 Possible? I dunno, I am 5 weeks now and on a good day I can get through the day well and accomplish my daily chores. Advisable? We were told no strenuous exercising until 6 weeks. Honestly it seems quite ambitious.
Band07 374 Posted September 8, 2013 I should maybe also say I'm only 25 lbs from goal and have been running on and off for the last few years, maybe this would make a difference ? 1 sherry24184 reacted to this

I would think that would make a difference. You may well have the physical conditioning to do it. Good for you! However I will say that my tummy is still sensitive when jostled about, even on road bumps while driving. So there's that to consider with the running. Secondly, would you have to train for it immediately after the surgery? Because that too could be tough and in fact, I'd say that my PCP was adamant that this had been major stomach surgery and there was to be no jostling and sit ups, etc. We were told it was okay to walk for the first 6 weeks. But it may be good to ask the doctor and see what s/he says.
