ready4anume 31 Posted September 7, 2013 How long should you wait to have the Tummy Tuck and breast reduction and lift after you are sleeved and will insurance cover it due to excess skin from weight loss surgery
natalie_christin 61 Posted September 10, 2013 That's probably something you want to ask your doctor but, from what I heard and understood, you should wait until your weight has stabilized and you're not going to lose anymore weight. I've also heard that most of the time the insurances won't cover it – unless Somehow the skin is causing you physical harm or something of that nature. It has to be doing damage somehow. But again, that's completely up to your insurance company as well. Good luck with your search!
bethxxx 304 Posted September 10, 2013 I've heard doctors say 2 years after surgery, mine says when you are finished loosing weight. I haven't heard of insurance covering it except when someone's skin was rubbing and causing a bad rash. Not sure where you are from but I'm in Australia and here my insurance covers my hospital stay so I just have to pay my surgeon fees. I'm pretty sure it doesn't work that way in America
Michellemo 161 Posted September 10, 2013 I had my Tummy Tuck 2 days before my one year sleeve anniversary. My doctor said he usually made people wait 18 months but since I had lost enought weight he went ahead and did it. I was self pay
