ArnoldS 46 Posted September 6, 2013 I believe everybody has to do what works for them. For me, I cringe when I see people calling this thing a "battle." I know it's work and a lot of it. But, when I think of it as a battle, I set up defenses, and it wears me out. I see myself peacefully and lovingly preparing myself for a new baby.....my new stomach. Just like i would a real baby. I'm full of love, joy, and excitement for my new stomach. I'm preparing my body just as I would a new nursery. I don't see any battle here to be won at all. I respect everybody and however they want to deal w this preparation. If you need to see it as a battle and that works for you, then go for it. I'm just sharing what works for me. Is this just semantics? Peace and Love to You All. 1 CarryOn7 reacted to this
CarryOn7 61 Posted September 6, 2013 That's what I have kind of been thinking about this surgery, with all 4 of my kids I knew when I was going in to be induced. I have kind of taken that approach with my whole thinking. this is a major welcome change, that will lead to a Happier, Healthier life. 1 ArnoldS reacted to this
gmanbat 5,889 Posted September 6, 2013 Good angle on it. Ya, my baby has spit up a lot, woke me in the middle of the night crying for food, and cost me a lot of money. But now that he is growing up he is making me proud. I did a good job raising him and he is taking care of my health in my old age. 8 TooFluffy, erp, gamergirl and 5 others reacted to this

gamergirl 4,610 Posted September 6, 2013 Personally I don't think it's "just" semantics either. What we say out loud determines how we feel in time. I was very excited about the surgery and saw it as a new beginning, and a very exciting time. Fighting my weight was a battle. I hoped this would be the start of a wonderful new adventure in my life. 4 gmanbat, Nervia, ArnoldS and 1 other reacted to this
