Omg' date=' you sound like me and those are all of my fears aswell. My sleeve date is n

Nov 25th and I am psyching myself up for the 2-3 week pre op diet. However, I do get unlimited greens (raw or steamed) and if I am starving I can have come minestrone Soup, but I am still terrified I am going to screw it up :/ Atleast your honest and are aware of your problem, some aren't. Good luck to you, you can do it, I know you can!![/quote']

You know i actually ate like there was no tomorrow beore the diet because i said to my self of course i can do it i hve no choice but to stick with it because it will give me a safer surgery by shrinking the liver nd all that good stuff.... I hve been on tons of diets before ( hvnt we all) and i hve actually stuck to them with success but not for long because i would stop wich is why im getting the sleeve now im 23 yrs old and my weight just holds me back little by little more nd more so im basically crying out for the sleeve but i just didnt realize it would be this drastic but at least u can stuff ur self with vegetables lol i would encourage you to make even the smallest change from here on to ur surgery date from cutting back a little to getting used to drinking Water all day long i wish i had but im determined i almost didnt cheat yesterday i did good all day but at night when i put the food away i ate some Beans :( but today is a new day nd im determimed :) my surgery is next friday so i hve to do this i came up with a plan when that eating anxity sets is im gonna step out side nd look at my pictures and think of all the struggles and downs this weight has brought me so wish me luck and i wish you the best of luck too :))

Good luck ladies!!! I have been very very good on my diet. I'm pretty jealous that some of you are allowed cottage cheese, applesauce, Soup, and unlimited veggies!! I'm only allowed clear, sugar free liquids, and 4 Protein Shakes a day. Day 3 was my roughest!! My family ordered Chinese for dinner last night and although it smelt great I didn't take even the smallest bite

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
