I've ditched 2 clothing sizes. Dr. hubby who was against surgery has been VERY nice. I can drink liquids easily & am tolerating most meats. Oak Park Lorena 162 Posted September 5, 2013 August 23rd for me, as of Monday was down 17 pounds plus the 12 I lost on the 10 day pre-op diet. I don't have any hearburn, gas or pain. I am pretty much sticking to the shakes with maybe a youghurt or cottage cheese per day. I have to eat and drink VERY slowly and it takes me close to an hour to finish an 8-oz glass of Water. I feel very good though, lots of energy, doing lots of walking.
On A Mission 3 Posted September 5, 2013 Surgery on 8/6 and down 19 lbs. Wishing I was loosing faster, but trying to go with the flow! I think maybe I am getting too many carbs as I have been eating my chicken salad on melba toast. But it seems to be the only way I can get it down. Had horrible acid at first I mistook for hunger pains. Now I don't have much appetite, but still have some hunger, if that makes sense.
