homersmomma 77 Posted September 9, 2013 I turned 50 in August and I had my surgery on the 3rd of September. I guess that I can consider this a much belated birthday present to myself. 1 becky2013 reacted to this
morgan21 9 Posted September 11, 2013 Hi everyone, I'll be 51 in October. Got the sleeve on Sept. 6th. Day 4 and I'm hungry, sick of fluids, grossed out by most of them. What to do? Spoke to the dr. office nurse and dietician separately. Dietician recommended wonton Soup (minus the wontons and shredded pork). I'm getting some tomorrow. I actually feel hungry and wondering what did I just do to myself? I need strength and I'm praying for it but this is sooo much harder than I thought it would be. I thought there wouldn't be any hunger. Anyone have any helpful hints?
Taels2013 33 Posted September 11, 2013 If you feel hungry, it might be just acid. If you aren't on a medication, get one. Worked for me at that stage.

I'm on 1 2x a day for the first so months prescribed by my surgeon (over the counter type). Also I was on full liquids for 28 days but it was so worth it for my new little tummy! My husband sleeved 3 weeks after me was only on them for 2 weeks and had a tougher time while trying new foods could be our bodies being different or the variance in diet progression. So just take it easy and mix it up as best you can. One of my favorites was clam chowder strained with unflavored or chicken flavored Protein added in. Keep up the great work everyone!! ...and Happy Birthdays! ????????????
