No game 14,437 Posted September 4, 2013 Well there are so many ways you can slice it (Pun intended ) some will say why would you do "that it's not good for you!" And others will say "a whole slice? OMG how did you eat so much" To that I will say its all relative really... I mean do you eat Protein first most times? If so then you are fine it wasn't to much.. And was this a treat? Special occasion? If so, no it's not to much as long as it doesn't open the door to binging. And as far as the size of said pizza? As we all know there can be big slices or smaller slices. And all of our stomachs are different sizes too! So was it to much? Did it put you in pain? Overly full? If not then I'd say it wasn't to much. At four months out I could eat a small slice of pizza too I'm sure 3 ProudGrammy, Marivdb and NewSetOfCurves reacted to this
Chelenka 827 Posted September 4, 2013 I eat pizza. I can eat one slice of a large 16-18" pie and maybe two of small 10-12" pie depending on if there is meat on it or not. I think I probably ate pizza at 4 or 5 months post-op. pre-surgery weight 325; surgery date 2/28/2013; surgery weight 307; 8 weeks past-op weight 281.4; 12 weeks post-op 274; 4 month post-op 266.2; 5 month post-op 262.6; 6 month post-op 253.2 1 No game reacted to this
ProudGrammy 8,322 Posted September 4, 2013 Do you think one slice... eeeeeeeek, oh nooooooooo yet another pizzza question not laughing at you personal joke between me and a few hundred other sleevers btw at 3 months, 1 slice won't "kill" you - but its not as good for you as ............fill in the blank i would continue Protein first, then lottttttts of Water good luck ginger kathy 2 PressOnward and No game reacted to this
DonRodolfo 1,416 Posted September 5, 2013 Of pizza is to much? I will be four months out on Sept 20th. You were sleeved a week before me. I had pizza for the first time a few weeks ago. It was the smallest meat eaters they had. I was able to eat the toppings off two slices and one of the crusts. I got it out of my system and probably won't have pizza again for awhile to come. We're supposed to eat Protein first and I try to stick to that. 1 gamergirl reacted to this
kj44 215 Posted September 5, 2013 I made myself one using flat out light ( found by the tortillas) topped with some sauce parm onion turkey pepperoni and mozz. One made four servings for me and gave me my pizza fix
TexasMiss 314 Posted September 5, 2013 I've had it twice...but I plan for it and save my carbs and calories. It is by no means a free treat. I got meat and veggie, ate the toppings and half of the crust of one small piece.
LipstickLady 25,682 Posted September 5, 2013 Oh em gee! I am three and a half months out and I love(d) pizza. I took a bite of my daughter's crust last week (think the size of a computer key), chewed well and swallowed. Blurrrrp! Wouldn't go down and I couldn't eat anything else till the next day. Yay!! Boooooo!! Yay!! Boo!! (That's how I feel about that!) 2 DonRodolfo and gamergirl reacted to this
Michellemo 161 Posted September 5, 2013 I'm a year out and I can't eat a slice of pizza. I can eat the toppings and maybe 2 bites of crust but that's all.
ChristineR 128 Posted September 5, 2013 I can eat super thin crust pizza. Had some tonight since I already had 81 g of Protein today. I had a bite of regular pizza once and it bloated or something in my stomach, ugh. Must be super thin for me. It's not something I can do on any sort of regular basis because I can't get my protein in that way.
Chelenka 827 Posted September 5, 2013 Saw a recipe for a mini pizza using a portabello mushroom as a substitute for the crust. Sounds yummy and I'm gonna try it. pre-surgery weight 325; surgery date 2/28/2013; surgery weight 307; 8 weeks past-op weight 281.4; 12 weeks post-op 274; 4 month post-op 266.2; 5 month post-op 262.6; 6 month post-op 253.
