What did you eat for breakfast on pureed

Recommended Posts

I have half a Dannon Light & Fit Greek yogurt usually! Or some Cream of Wheat with a blob of sugar-free strawberry preserves. You could also have applesauce or low fat cottage cheese! Not too exciting, but some options nonetheless! :) (I'm currently on purées too!)

I ate anything that could be pureed. I am on soft food now, but I just ate Malto Meal for Breakfast because it has more Protein than CofW, and goes down easy if thinned out. I would puree freshly cooked and spiced lentils and add them to everything I ate to add protein; they are pretty tasty in thinned-out mashed potatoes! Pureed Beans and bean Soup are good anytime of the day! My favorite was restaurant-bought egg flower soup, cooked longer at home, and pureed. Just make sure you thin out all your food with Water and/or milk to prevent problems when eating. :)

me too a month out still do a Protein Shake, and add fat free milk. A couple times a week, I may make egg beaters, with a bit of cheese. I try to 80% of my Protein in at morning time.

I am on pureed now and I have been having lite vanilla greek yogurt sometimes with 1/2 scoop of with Protein Powder, almond milk smoothies with Protein powder and today I put in pureed frozen peaches,(heaven), Malto meal with vanilla protein. I try to get at least 8 gms of protein in the morning meal. Todays smoothie took me 40 mins to drink, due to the volume the blender added to my Protein Shake, but it was 24 gms of protein.

I am still on puréed. I eat a scrambled egg with hot sauce and a small scoop of cottage cheese. I out the cottage cheese in after egg is almost cooked to make it wetter. Tastes good and is mushy.

I'm eating a 1/2 cup of Fage 0% yogurt with 2 scoops of Syntrax unflavored Protein powder, a tsp. or two of unsweetened soy milk and a bit of Equal to give it all a bit of sweetness.

(Not looking forward to getting my sweet tooth back!)

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
