Iweeny 36 Posted September 4, 2013 Hello I was sleeved 9 months ago..I have a small problem. I am very hungry after 6 pm I drink plenty of Water but I am still hungry..my weight loss has been good but I've notice it's slowed down. I spoke to my doctor and he said usually in the morning my stomach is tight but as the day goes on my stomach expands and I am able to fit more food. Any advise on how to keep hunger under control? 1 Poojita22 reacted to this

My doc said to eat when you're hungry and to stop when you're full. Maybe your body is needing something. Or maybe it's that mental hunger. Lol.
Justinh125 472 Posted September 4, 2013 Maybe try to space your meals so that you eat closer to the evening. I always wonder about when they say "head hunger," as I always thought the feeling of "I'm hungry" came from my brain to start with.
Arts137 1,811 Posted September 4, 2013 I eat the evening meal at 6:00 and eat or drink NOTHING after. If hunger is bad, bad BAD, I just go to bed. Won't let the head win this battle... 2 Mary Aane and Poojita22 reacted to this
RJ'S/beginning 5,358 Posted September 4, 2013 I always have a snack at night before I go to bed....I will eat a 1/4 C of nuts, or a yogurt, fruit...If I don't eat something at night I wake up in the middle of the night very very hungry....It gets me through the night and it is working.. Sure is better then chips and other junk food.... Seems to be working for me 3 Mary Aane, barbmeow and Poojita22 reacted to this
barbmeow 92 Posted September 4, 2013 I would give yourself a snack at that time. If you are truly gut rumbling, hunger pain hungry you should eat. Maybe go back to basics and eat like you did in the beginning, 1/2 cottage cheese, or Protein of some kind to fill you up and keep you full all night.I have a theory if you are really hungry your body is needing to be fed and you keep your insulin and glucose balance in check so you continue to burn calories. You need to assess if you are really hungry or if it is head hunger, and if real hunger feed, if not have a sugar free popsicle. 1 Poojita22 reacted to this
alene 74 Posted September 4, 2013 When I get hungry at night, I have a stick of string cheese. It helps me. :-) 1 caddygirl reacted to this
Poojita22 0 Posted April 2, 2017 (edited) I am having this exact same problem! Around 8pm I'm super duper famished and I tried having a sugar free popsicle or pudding but that made me even more hungry. I eat during the day, drink plenty of Water, and take my Vitamins so it's not that I'm lacking nutrition. During the week it's not a problem but when my friends want us to hang out at night in the weekend it becomes an issue.
