trrinatl 1 Posted March 25, 2014 Dr McGill was my surgeon. He was GREAT. I've been an ICU nurse for 30 years and had plenty of questions. he never got frustrated with me, and always answered my questions and made sure I was comfortable. Karen the dietician was great, she has some great tips for making eating easier after surgery. The staff at Piedmont hospital were AMAZING. Felt like I was the only patient on the unit. I think they camped out at my door and waited for me to need something. Dr McGill even dealt with my crazy mother and family while I was in recovery, and he did it with a smile and never took it personally. He reminds me of an overgrown Opie Taylor from Andy Griffith show. AMAZING doctor. Recently I had a stomach virus and had some vomiting. I had to call the answering service at 7:30 in the morning. Dr McGill called me back within 5 minutes and when I apologized for bothering him; he stopped me mid sentence and told me that was his job, I was not bothering him. Got me feeling better very quickly.
