MRWILLIA6871 8 Posted September 3, 2013 Oh my goodness! I had difficulty staying on track during the holidays. I'm up 2 lbs. and I'm getting discouraged. I just started Day 45 and I'm in the regular transitional phase of the diet. Any suggestions as to how I can get back on track?
Pookeyism 1,143 Posted September 3, 2013 Just don't stop. You know what to do, you have been doing for over a month now. Water, nutrition, exercise, sleep, love yourself. Measure, track and pay atention to your foods. Small bites, no fluids with your foods. No sliders, no "bad foods". You have hit your body with food that will, literally, make you crave more of the same. Avoid tha carbs, the trans fats, the salts, grains. Make every bite count, be full of wonderful, full of sunshine and health. Cantaloupe and melons and peaches, banannas, berries, squash, Beans and nuts, figs (OMG FIGGS) - all are in abundance right now - it's literally the time of the harvest. Don't look at is as doing without or back to anything mundane - get creative with your 'back on track". 1 Richard Foor reacted to this
Tiny One 223 Posted September 3, 2013 Oh my goodness! I had difficulty staying on track during the holidays. I'm up 2 lbs. and I'm getting discouraged. I just started Day 45 and I'm in the regular transitional phase of the diet. Any suggestions as to how I can get back on track? No worries. Just get back to the basics. You will have those moments when you get off track. But as long as you recognize it before you go too far, you'll be ok. I've strayed once in a while, and get right back to the basics. 10 mon post op & still losing. So, don't be discouraged. It's ok. Good luck!
Richard Foor 655 Posted September 3, 2013 People are not defined by the mistakes they make but by the way they recover from those mistakes. You have obviously accepted what you did now get back on track and you will be fine. I don't believe anyone should deny themselves everything they like you just need to be able to deal with it and adjust to make up for reading the things you like sometimes. 2 neneh_vsg and raven123 reacted to this
JurneeOfOne 14 Posted March 18, 2014 I am only 5 days post op gastric sleeve and I just licked and sucked the cheese off of a .25 cent bag of Doritos. I didn't eat the chips. All chips are in the garbage. But I feel like a failure. It's too soon to indulge in cravings and I just dived in. Not a good sign. :(
