Well, I don't know if it's normal but I've been able to do that for a while....I'm 4 weeks post op today.

I can drink 'normall', but I avoid gulping on general principles...

Hey NYorker! I can drink (i.e., gulp) just like before surgery. I try not to do it just as a matter of principle (seems like something I just "shouldn't" do). But there is nothing about this surgery that changed drinking fluids for me...

Just asked my dr this today.. He said its not gonna expand your sleeve just gonna hurt a little. Told him don't hurt then he said good we don't want you to! Lol.. I'm only 1 week out and I gulp

Thanks guys. I now drink green tea. I was a heavy coffee drinker go figure. Taste buds change.

I never did drink differently from before surgery. Of course, I can't drink more than 8 oz at a time Hugh.l but when I walk/ride my bike I drink like a horse
