cateringqueen 0 Posted August 5, 2004 I am getting banned in 2 days. I am very excited, but I am having a hard time. My Doctor has me on all Clear Liquids I have been on these for 5 days now ..I am so hungry I am worried how I will stay on liquids after the surgery. Did others stay on liquids before the surgery? Janie Jackson 0 Posted August 5, 2004 Congratulations...I was banded about three months ago. I had to be on Clear Liquids for two days before my surgery. After my surgery I could have strained Soup and my Protein Shakes which helped. Having sugar free Dole popcicles were what helped me through the liguid stage...Good luck...Janie
leatha_g 4 Posted August 5, 2004 Good luck with your surgery! I know, the liquids get real old real fast, but you'll make it! Just remember, it's only temporary. You will be able to eat real food again. I promise!
New Hope 37 Posted August 5, 2004 Hang in there! It's temporary. Just think you've already started losing those "forever gone" pounds!
bcreativ110 0 Posted August 5, 2004 I'm now just finishing my last day of Clear Liquids and tomorrow can add milk products. I'm really looking forward to it, although it really wasn't that difficult in terms of feeling hungry. After you get the band, you really won't be that hungry. It's more of the head hunger that you have to deal with. I know things that have triggered me have been watching commercials, and smelling neighbors having BBQ's. I usually go and grab a SF popsicle or find something to do, when I have those triggers. Try to keep busy, but you will make it and be eating solids again soon! Good luck with your surgery!! New Hope 37 Posted August 5, 2004 Cateringqueen, Best of luck on your surgery tomorrow! Here's to an uneventful surgery and minimum pain recovery. Where will you be having your surgery?
cateringqueen 0 Posted August 6, 2004 I just spoke to the Doctor who will put me under tomorrow I am a little freaked out he told me I will have a breathing tube. I wish he would not have told me that. Is this common? I will have my surgery in dallas. I know it will change my life for the better but I am getting a little nervous. I have not told anyone about what I am doing except my husband. Let me know how everything goes the day after surgery.

cateringqueen 0 Posted August 6, 2004 willI feel like eating tomorrow after surgery. I am suppose to have the band put in at 11:00AM. I know I will only be allowed to have Liquids but I am wondering if I will even want anything?
Neicy 0 Posted August 6, 2004 I didn't! I had to make myself drink for days after the surgery. It was like magic! That's when the lbs. melted away.
cateringqueen 0 Posted August 6, 2004 I can't wait. I am really starving tonight. I am fighting myself not to eat a box of m&m's or something. I have been basically on liquids for 6 days. It will be so great not to want to eat.
