Metamorphosis ???? 5 Posted September 2, 2013 This is a mother/daughter adventure for me. Myself, being the "daughter". I'm 21 years old, 5.3" @ 255lbs. Goal: 140lbs, by December 2014. Im on a 6 month plan from my insurance company and had my very first nutritionist appointment last Friday (August 2013). I'm basically gathering as much information as my brain can handle about the procedure, with the before & afters, and preop/postop diets! Everyone on this site is so encouraging and helpful! I look forward to seeing everyone's success! 2 T'snewstart and gmanbat reacted to this
Arts137 1,811 Posted September 2, 2013 Welcome, welcome and Welcome! You and Mom are among friends here... One hint... You WILL lose weight, as fast as your body can if you follow your program. But that said, you do NOT know how fast you will lose, so You said "Goal: 140lbs, by December 2014" You might lose faster AND you might lose slower. Don't add the pressure of a 'date certain', you are in this for the rest of your life! 3 T'snewstart, ProudGrammy and smryan reacted to this
gmanbat 5,889 Posted September 2, 2013 Welcome! Since you have a 6 month wait before your surgery the 140 pounds before Dec. 2014 may be pushing it a bit. Not impossible, though. In either case, you will be intensely happy with the weight loss and the clothing change, not to mention the release of energy and easing of movement. Metamorphosis ???? 5 Posted September 2, 2013 Thank y'all so much! In regards to my goal, that is not a goal I set, but rather my Surgeon. He said that, there should be no problem hitting my desired weight, in that time frame. Because I'm very active, healthy person as is. I have never had high BP, Diabetes, Arthritis or sleep apnea. My only issue is metabolism. He needs me to be MORE active. My grandad. Has already had the surgery, and my Mother is a month ahead of me. I do not have my surgery date set yet. I'm just looking forward to renewing my contract with life And loving myself again! 1 gmanbat reacted to this
BoDeenz 0 Posted September 2, 2013 How do you start a thread? Is there a way to follow people you want to see their journey?
Metamorphosis ???? 5 Posted September 3, 2013 @BoD "How do you start a thread? Is there a way to follow people you want to see their journey?" I don't know the answer to your question myself, to start a thread for me was easy... I'm on a mobile app. Everything is pretty black and white. Good luck! Let me know if you figure out how to follow stories!
