gamergirl 4,610 Posted September 17, 2013 I was so pleasantly surprised by the noodles. As Phoenix said, they were deliciously slurpy. And they tasted like...crunchy. Seriously not like zucchini. We too pan-sautéed them and now I wish I'd done that pre-surgery instead of eating Pasta Made my son taste them and he was so torn. He wanted to say he loved them--which he did--but to say that would be admitting he likes Zucchini! What a crime! My first side of proper veggies since being sleeved. So yummy! joatsaint 2,814 Posted September 17, 2013 That looks really cool, but my first thought was, "Really? A pencil sharpener for carrots?" :-P
sanks51 214 Posted September 17, 2013 That looks like an amazing tool.. Currently I only have the julienne slicer to make small little strips... But long ones.. That's just great!! Hope our Amazon UK has one of those!!

Hope our Amazon UK has one of those!! In my first post, I provided a link to the one we got. If they don't have the pencil sharpener one, perhaps they'll have my one. It's pretty sturdy. Enjoy! Newme48 104 Posted September 18, 2013 Thanks I just ordered one too! Can I ask what the shavings are on top of your dinner in the picture? They look too translucent to be Parmesan. Thanks!
Phoenix79 452 Posted September 18, 2013 Thanks I just ordered one too! Can I ask what the shavings are on top of your dinner in the picture? They look too translucent to be Parmesan. Thanks! You're right, it is Parmesan! I use fresh Parmesan and grate it right from the block. I used a ribbon Microplane grater which is why it's so thin. There's nothing like fresh Parmesan! penman53 493 Posted September 21, 2013 I to bought one of these guys and I tried to make zucinni noodles. They were not what I expected but I did it right over the pan into the fire. Did you allow the noodles to dry a bit before you used them? I think that would help. I also thought about putting them into a very low temp oven and allow them to dry for awhile before cooking with them. Mine just came out so wimpy nad wet. I would like to make them better and I hope you can help. If you would, would you email me at mthomas62@cox.net and give me some help please. I really do miss Pasta.< /p>
