linda305 173 Posted September 26, 2013 not at all!! Ask away! I don't like pain at all. Where u in alot of pain after surgery? How many days did you take off work? Did u have to do the 2 week pre op, if so how did u handle it? I should be scheduled for surgery around December but the thought of only nasty shakes for two weeks is killing me Linda305

Once i was on the floor..it wasn't really pain that i felt it was more discomfort then anything. I had my surgery on Tuesday and i was back at work the following Wed but I also have an office job. What do you do for work? And i was dreading the 2 week shake diet. I will say the first 3 days were the hardest but then i got used to them and it was a breeze and i was not even drinking the 5 they say you should drink. Drinking lots of Water through out the day also helps.

ClinicalNurse82 6 Posted September 26, 2013 Thanks for responding. I also have an office job. I am so ready for a new life and scared at the same time Linda305 I was def nervous as well. I never had surgery before this, but i knew the benefits outweighed the risks. I had HTN, pre-diabetic, and also PCOS, I can now say..no more blood pressure medications, blood work is back to normal, and my body is finally returning to normal. Even as I sat in pre-op that morning i kept thinking I should just leave, but i'm so glad i didn't. This has def been the best decision i have ever made, and Dr.Munoz did an excellent job. I love his nurse practitioner. I actually went to the support group for the first time last night and it was great. Anymore questions just let me know. Def wish you lots of luck!!
