BelleStarr 4 Posted September 1, 2013 Well my surgery is this wednesday and I only had to do 6days of pre-op diet. I can have Jello, broth, chicken noodle Soup (2cans per day), cream Soups, yogurt and cottage cheese. That isnt as hard as some peoples and so far its been ok it just doesnt keep me full long. Its hard because i have 5kids and a husband who I still have to cook for so smelling the food is hard!! Plus my boys play football and all day saturdays we are at the field smelling all the nachos, cheese french fries (my fav) was sooooo hard! Thankfully only 2 more days!! jadira30 5 Posted September 2, 2013 Hang in there!!! You can do it!!! I have to do 10 days:/ I was told to only do sf Jello, sf popsicles and chicken broth. but nothing can be red. You can have noodles?? Please keep us posted on your surgery. Im 2 tests away from submission and those will be completed this week. I cant wait. Im a little afraid of the gas pains everyone talks about 1 BelleStarr reacted to this
BelleStarr 4 Posted September 2, 2013 Thanks!! Yes i can have chicken noodle as long as it has less then 1g sugar, no chunky chicken noodle; just plain campbells or lipton. Why no red for you?
jadira30 5 Posted September 2, 2013 Supposedly eating things with red dye can be confused with blood so nothing with red before surgery. My husband coldnt comsume anything red either before he got sleeved a year ago..Thanks for the Soup info. 2 BelleStarr and Cocopuff88 reacted to this
MissErika 65 Posted September 2, 2013 I have heard of the red thing before but I didn't have to watch that for my pre-op. Anyway, I know it's hard but you are almost there! I couldn't imagine smelling those cheese fries though and I would probably get angry, lol. Also I almost chose your surgeon but decided on Hollis because he's a tad closer! Good luck!! 1 BelleStarr reacted to this
Chelsi 107 Posted September 2, 2013 you're lucky. i wish i could eat something other than lean Protein and non-starchy veggies. the lack of carbs was hard, but the lack of cheese in my diet is harder! you can do it, though! you're so close to your surgery date, too! good luck! 1 BelleStarr reacted to this
BelleStarr 4 Posted September 2, 2013 I almost chose Hollis also because the doctors I work for refers to him. But he didnt get the best reviews online and when I asked one of the doctors at our office he said go to Alanis. Where are you being sleeved?

Also, to your other reply about red Jello, call the office and ask if you are concerned but if the hospital/office didn't say anything at pre-op appointments you should be okay. 1 BelleStarr reacted to this
