Christel 4 Posted August 31, 2013 I'm 2 weeks post-op and keep feeling as if my breath smells and tastes like "rotting flesh" or something equally gross. It happens throughout the day and every morning when I wake! Anyone else have this issue, know why it happens, how to fix it, will it stop???? BTW I had NO such issue pre-op. blackfalls 26 Posted August 31, 2013 I don't know if it will work but I plan to do it when I'm post-op. I used to do oil-pulling before bed (basically you take a tbsp of sesame seed oil, sunflower oil or coconut oil into your mouth and swirl it around for 20 minutes). It helps to whiten your teeth and it really improved my morning breath. I haven't done it for a few weeks but I'm definitely going to do it after post-op if I get bad breath! 1 jensjoy28 reacted to this

NMJG 1,266 Posted September 1, 2013 My dr recommended Listerine strips and they really do help. Ketosis breath is just nasty, I agree.

texassky 84 Posted September 1, 2013 I'm over a year out and I still feel this way, I brush several times a day and keep a small bottle of mouth wash with me, sugar free mints and gum at all times when I'm at work, as a hairstylist I would hate for my breath to be offensive to my customers! But it defiantly is bothersome!
