Disabledaccount 154 Posted August 31, 2013 Hi all, just had my first consult today and i'm very excited. My insurance as a good track record and only requires a nutrition and psych eval and the surgeon i'm working with is one of the best in the area. I'm feeling very good about my choice an have a feeling things are going to move pretty quickly but i'm still slightly nervous. How did you mentally/physically prepare for surgery, any issues or surprises as the weight started to come off? Any advice on things to do now to prepare for the post-op life. I appreciate your insights and feedback
SherriS 4 Posted September 5, 2013 Hello all, and I'm excited to be a part of this group. I will soon be having my band removed and the sleeve done after. I am excited and somewhat nervous. If anyone has any advise be it for the good or not so good I would love to hear. Thanks Sherri

Smokey 220 110 Posted September 8, 2013 The best advice I can give is to start easing off the foods that are triggers. For me that was fries and soda. Follow the pre-op diet and don't beat yourself up when you have a slip up. Practice eating slow and taking smaller bites. And above all else pray for strength to deal with the haters that will be so jealous when you start dropping the pounds!! LoL! 2 Disabledaccount and SherriS reacted to this
