keke 60 Posted August 31, 2013 Yea they gave something ... I wish I can get something for gas
kltklass 144 Posted August 31, 2013 Gas-X strips and lots of walking. Good luck.
SpaceDust 585 Posted August 31, 2013 Just remember that Gas-X strips are only good for gas IN the digestive system. It doesn't help with getting rid of the gas in the abdominal cavity from the surgery. For that, it's walk, walk, walk!
keke 60 Posted August 31, 2013 Ok thanks it sucks when I'm throwing up all over the place
Arts137 1,811 Posted August 31, 2013 this sounds like the result of the anesthesia??? And that will clear outa your body SOON!
NotLookinBack 164 Posted August 31, 2013 I threw up on the second day.. It was from all the meds and old blood in my tummy. After throwing up a couple of times I felt a lot better.. I also made them stop giving me so much meds.. That helped a lot too. Hope things get better for you..

MRSNikki82 27 Posted August 31, 2013 I had my surgery this morning everything went well.. I have been having some chest pain and every time I try to go for a walk I begin to feel nauseous I had the same issues the doctor said it was due to the type of surgery we had. Anyway being a nurse I knew to ask for one zofran on a schedule, so every 4-6 hours and ask them about levsin, also called hyoscyamine. It was a god sent. Also if they have you on ativan you can take with zofran and it will decrease nausea before you walk. Also eat plenty of ice to help with swelling before after and during walks....only way I was able to be released from hospital. God is with you it will get better.
