Doddie63 6 Posted May 11, 2008 Yes doing great as well. Reduced blood pressure pills down to one a day from 3. Down 3 metformin to 1 a day. BP & Diabetes in check. Yahoo. With me, I lose 1/2 lb per week but boy does it add up. Just remember to not rush your fills and don't overfill. Many tend to get impatient thinking the weight will vanish overnite. NOT. Again, best wishes.
maggielexi 0 Posted May 11, 2008 Thanks for the tips . . I'm getting excited to start my new life and even if it's 1/2 pound per week, as you say it certainly adds up and it will make a big difference. You must be very pleased with the health results . .good work!

clempier 0 Posted October 12, 2008 madamesuzanne, Hi, I'm from Beresford, NB and I just wanted to let you know that there is a new surgeon in Bathurst who does lap band surgeries now. His name is Dr. Marc Savoie. I'm diabetic and my specialist, Dr. Khan send me to Dr. Marc Savoie. Now in New-Brunswick they pay for the surgery if it's medical reasons. I'm suppose to have the surgery probably in November. Dr. Khan think highly of Dr. Savoie. Good Luck clempier, NB, Canada
madamesuzanne 0 Posted October 13, 2008 Bonjour Clempier, thank you to let me know about New doctor Savoie. I have checked his rating on Browse Doctors | RateMDs.com and he seems to be a very good doctor. Do you know if he does filling too? Next month, I am going to see my doc Henri Atlas in Montréal. I hope I will have my first filling and then be able to have it done in Moncton or Bathurst if possible. He has talked about that when I saw him on the 26 of August. You know what? My son and daughter went to BHS for 2 1/2 yrs when we were living Caraquet. After that, we moved in Campbellton for 7 yrs. I was teaching for District 15, now I am teaching for district 6 here in Rothesay. This is a small world. I am wishing you best of luck Clempier. Yesterday we celebrated Thanksgiving and I am very thankful to have my lapband now. It is worth the 16 K that I paid in Montréal. Let me know how you are doing Clempier. Best Regards, Madame Suzanne :smile2:
clempier 0 Posted October 13, 2008 Hi Madamesuzanne, What a small world. I'm a teacher at Carrefour Étudiant in Beresford so as you can imagine, I'm French too. I was adopted in a french family from Paquetville but my birthmother lives in St-John, NB. I graduated from Caraquet in 1977. I moved to Beresford in 2000. Dr. Savoie told me that as soon as he can get a op. room I'll have to be on SlimFast for 2 weeks and then the surgery. I''m going to stay the night and then come back home the next day. I don't know if Dr. Savoie would do your filling, ask, you have nothing to loose. I'm on the list for Dr. Beausoleil too but it's a 2 years waiting list. I'm glad we have Dr. Savoie here, I won't have to travel for the fillings and all. Got to go. Hope to talk to you again. clempier

I know I'll have to be on a SlimFast diet 2 weeks before surgery, stay for one night at the hospital and I'll be back home. Clempier
inuit 0 Posted November 24, 2008 :thumbup:Hi everybody. I saw Dr B. last Thursday, Nov 20. He said I would need to attend an all day info session and the office would call me with an appointment time for that. I was referred to an endocrinologist in 2005. Got in to Dr. Dornan in 2006 and finalli got into Dr. B. now. I need to lose around 100-130 lbs. Can't wait for surgery. I just want to be a normal person again. To walk into Walmart and buy clothes or to go to a movie and fit into the seat. Get on a plane and not have to have 2 seats and ask for an extension belt. I can't wait. I've already lost 30 lbs on my own since June. Now I weigh 257. I live in Saint John.
