Hey folks. Did my fastest ever 10k this morning... 63 minutes. Plus I ran an additional 2.5 miles back and forth to the car.... That's how far away I had to park.

So day 23 is 8.7 miles.... Which is 102 total. Thrilled to have made my goal with a week to keep adding to it.

Thanks to all of y'all that joined in and inspired me. Keep pushing. We are all gonna make it.

+1 miles this morning, but sort of in an unconventional manner.

It was part of a partner WOD today (first time I did this)

Started with plank Tabata for 8 minutes (20 s on, 10 s rest)

Then

1 partner did an increasing set of

3 T2B (toes to bar)

3 kbs (53# kettle bell swings)

3 box jumps

While the other partner ran up and down the hill with a 35# plate for 800 m.

When the running partner got back, he took over the exercises and the other went for the 400 m run with the plate.we must have looked funny huffing and puffing running up the hill with 35 # plate. Lol. It was fun!

Every time a set of exercises got completed by a partner, he increased the rep count by 3 until running partner returned and took over. This AMRAP (as many reps as possible) workout was done after 20 minutes.

We ended up doing 8 sets where last set had 24 reps of each exercise and 8 400 m run for a total of 2 miles of hill. I contributed to 1 of those miles.

Congrats BFF !!! You are looking great!

I didn't ask did C run too?

Nope....she had a group training run for her upcoming marathon. They ran like 15 miles or something ridiculous.

Crazy! It's cold and cloudy here. I'm going to ride I think... But I was up most of the might (long story)

So I'm not sure how much I'll get in today.

But I need to get my arse into gear!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
