Great advice everyone and thanks for the help. I will definately get more Water in everyday. I know water is very important so it all makes sense.

Now, I didn't mean to highjack the 100 mile post so let's all get back to work! My goal is to break 50 miles by Sunday night, that's about 13 miles if I remember correctly. I hope everyone else stays on track with the routines. This is a great challlange and I would love to see it continue even after this month. It has been motivating for me.

Time to go walk some and drink some water. Have a great day everyone!!

So one last hijack...I think I'm allowed right? You and I have very similar starting numbers...age...size...very similar. For me, even 64oz was no where near enough. I was having cramps and dizziness at 64oz. At 80-90 I started feeling much better. That was about 6 weeks out. Nowadays I shoot for 128oz and I usually get more. I work in the heat plus all of my exercise is outside so I sweat alot. But even if I wasn't, I just could not operate on 64oz. So...agree with everyone else...shoot for more if possible. What helped me was adding propel to my water...helped with the taste and gave me more sodium and potassium to prevent cramps and dizziness.

Alright...so the good news is....as of day 15 for me....72.1 miles total.

The bad news....looks like I broke a toe today. Stubbed it on a small stump while trail running. It's not pretty. I can barely walk right now. Not sure how this is going to play out but I'll give it the weekend at least to rest and let the swelling go down. Then see how it is by monday. I'm not giving up...gonna make my goal no matter what. I've got crutches somewhere. But damn....I was on a good roll.

Hang in there everyone. I'm thrilled with how many of you have jumped on board this crazy challenge. I thought it was just going to be me and LV. Thanks to all of y'all.

I agree I need more Water and actually do get closer to 64oz. Sometimes it is still difficult to get more liquids down as well as my meals to keep my Proteins and calories where they need to be. I am just now coming up on 4 weeks post op so I guess it gets a little easier with time.

Whew...pushed myself a little tonight and enjoyed it!

I walked 2.27 miles earlier today. I just rode 4 miles in just over 15 minutes averaging 15.7 mph which is up a little over 1 mph for me. That put me at 6.27 miles today and a grand total so far of 42.2 miles. My goal of breaking 50 miles by Sunday night is within reach!!

+4 for 92 total. 2 miles running and 2 miles sprint rowing for time and max calories burned (if that means anything on the concept II rower).

Hope it heals fast BTB. Is the toe like any other bone where it takes 6-8 weeks to heal?

Um, BTB, perhaps the "natural" shoes should be relegated to the street running. :). Trail running might need a wee bit more support. Just a thought. LOL

LOGGED 5.7 miles today. 50.3 total. Halfway.

BTB, that sucks about the toe!! Sorry! :(

I'm at about 55 miles right now. I also did a TRX class yesterday for the first time and may be lamed by that for a while. LOL. I love it when I work out all the time, then do some class that TOTALLY KICKS MY A$$ LIKE I'VE NEVER SEEN THE INSIDE OF A GYM BEFORE.:D:lol:

No way Jose. I'm a barefoot wild wilderness explorer. I cannot wear the big clunky shoes any more. I've tried....it hurts. Every step I feel my knees age six months.

Ok...LV....for your viewing pleasure.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
