rmma1000 6 Posted August 30, 2013 Hi... I'm two months post op and i lost 34 lbs since the day of the surgery... What bothers me is that i lost 30 lbs in the first month and lost only 4 in the second.... I feel really upset and discouraged because am losing weight so slowly .. Is it normal to lose only 4 lbs in an entire month? Or am i doing something wrong. Plz help!
Butterthebean 8,146 Posted August 30, 2013 Most people typically stall within the 3rd and 7th week. It's very common what you're going through. Don't worry too much about it. There's not much you can do except keep doing all the right things...it will resolve itself. 5 kimbernada, MIJourney, LifetimeLoser and 2 others reacted to this
unbesleevable1 420 Posted August 30, 2013 most ppl don't lose 30lbs in a year. I think you're doing pretty well. remember, healthy weight loss is 1-2lbs/ week. think of it over a year. 50-100 lbs in a year is damn good. chin up. 1 rmma1000 reacted to this
FRED1977 186 Posted August 30, 2013 Your not in a race, so don't feel like that its in vein.... What are you eating, drinking and etc... Tell us a little more maybe we can help you out a bit. Honestly loosing 30 pounds in month is like wow, I wish I could do that. 2 MumtazG38 and rmma1000 reacted to this
Arts137 1,811 Posted August 30, 2013 My friend, all the above are good advice. I worry that the REAL danger of a stall, is to cause your head to give up, and then THAT would be a problem. WE ALL go through times of no loss., followed by a good loss. Just follow your program!!! DO NOT GIVE UP! I see you are from Syria. I pray that you, all your family and friends, and ALL the people of Syria can remain safe in this terrible time. 4 On A Mission, Greeknugget, nmck and 1 other reacted to this

I lost 22.8 my first month, 11.6 my second, 10 pounds my third, and "only" 3.8 over the last 13 days of my fourth month. This is NOT the miracle speed loss some think it is, it's hard work and good choices, but it's a great tool. I love my sleeve. 2 Greeknugget and rmma1000 reacted to this
Annao79 12 Posted August 30, 2013 Hello I am five weeks out, also lost 30, stalled for a week. I understand how you feel. And I know that everyone says, be Patient...you have done well already, but its hard to accept that when you are barely eating and exercising. It truely feels like it should be falling off of you. I totally get it. But I guess we have no choice but to wait and hope. I am happy and grateful. But I understand how you feel. marfar7 1,533 Posted August 30, 2013 I feel ur pain. I'm almost 7 weeks out and lost 17 lbs. been losing and gaining the same 1-2 lbs for the past 2 weeks. it's getting old really fast. I started at 174 (band revision) so I knew I would lose it slower, but this is ridiculous. I'm almost 2 mths out with only 17 lbs lost. Wish I was 30. Count your blessings. I could cut my calories even more than they are but then I'd be miserable and on a diet. Thats why I got the sleeve in the first place, so I would never diet again. I've already lost a size in clothing and that feels good. Good luck! 2 FRED1977 and rmma1000 reacted to this

vsginkc 117 Posted August 30, 2013 I'm a big fan of mind games. Tell yourself you lost 15 lbs in month one and 15 lbs in month two. I know it sounds silly, but when you look at it like that, it's AWESOME weight loss. Give your body time to catch up - it's been through a lot and it is being responsive. Hang in there! You're doing great! 3 Arts137, rmma1000 and supbanana reacted to this

ChristineR 128 Posted August 31, 2013 I've noticed when the scale doesn't move the inches do. I tend to drop the pant sizes then almost like my body is catching up! 1 rmma1000 reacted to this
teamskinny_keea 70 Posted August 31, 2013 it does take a little while for the weight to start to run off because you're still swollen inside.. I think about the 2nd month for my weight to start coming off maybe a little longer than that... 1 rmma1000 reacted to this
