gamergirl 4,610 Posted August 30, 2013 My husband and I have been having this. Two suspects for us. Low calories for sure. For him also he is on BP meds and sometimes his BP falls low. We both have to be very careful about getting up suddenly or bending over. We're about 3-4 weeks post op.
411angela 107 Posted August 30, 2013 I'm about 3 weeks out and I've been experiencing this too, especially today. I'm trying to get my fluids in and I think I'll get my blood pressure checked tomorrow. It's a bit scary!
Heyher 581 Posted August 30, 2013 I get it at 6 months out. My BP is typically around 100/70-90/60 so they think it might be low. Also potassium, B12, and Iron deficiencies could cause that. Dehydration is always a good culprit as well.
Emily86 2 Posted August 30, 2013 Glad to know that in not alone. I will have to see what the doctor says. If anyone else gets an answer let me know. Ty

cindymg 629 Posted August 30, 2013 I am 4 weeks post op and getting light headed any time I look down even if it's to put something in the oven...anyone else have this problem or have any idea why this would be happening? Have your medications been adjusted after your weight loss? Mine have been cut to 1/4 of what they were and I am weaning myself off blood pressure med. Also are you taking your Vitamins? Have your primary care physician run all of your Vitamin levels -- Iron, B12, Vit D, Potassium and Sodium. Good luck to you.
Emily86 2 Posted August 30, 2013 I am not on any medications, other than the omeperzale that they gave me after surgery. I will call tomorrow, thank you.
Amanda626 153 Posted August 30, 2013 I'm 6 months out and if I get up quick I get very dizzy. Dr says very common since we eat very little sugar
Fawn1120 18 Posted August 30, 2013 Sometimes it's from lack of salt. My dr said to eat broth or Protein Soup. Also, when u lose weight, your BP meds might need to be decreased.
