Roo101769 742 Posted August 30, 2013 I just posted a fairly lengthy blog about the original topic. I have really thought about things after reading this and reading some other posts. Feel free to let me know any opinions, because as my blog say WE ALL HAVE THEM! LOL
supbanana 153 Posted September 2, 2013 Some people feel safer asking if you are trying to loose weight when they are secretly wondering if you are sick (cancer, etc...). Yep, this. My grandpa lost a chunk of weight a couple of years back. Everyone commented on it and told him how great he looked. Turns out he had stage 4 lung cancer and was dying. Ever since then I refuse to bring up someone's weight loss unless they initiate the conversation because you just never know what's going on.
tigerbelle 328 Posted September 3, 2013 I second that, supbanana...I recall at work one time sort of teasing a very thin younger woman in my department...I felt bad a couple of years later when I found out she struggled with bulimia 1 supbanana reacted to this
TooFluffy 32 Posted September 3, 2013 jc2008, it could be that at her high weight, you don't look "that" big too her. People lose perspective sometimes, when their own weight is very high. Just a thought. 1 supbanana reacted to this
