Hey, this is the worst photo of me! My left eye looks like it is closed. I actually have big eyes that are not squished like that. Something happened to the photo when it was being downloaded. Will try to get a better one. Susie

Wow Fee, you've lost 40 kilos! Thats awesome! Just a question, and this bothers me personally A LOT as to how I will end up - do you have excess skin on your stomach and thighs? I know that the length of time that you have been over weight and genetics etc etc play a part in that, but I am concerned I might need plastic surgery to look "normal" when I lose another 25 kilos. And god knows where I would find the money for that!!

Hi Meredith......Yeah thanks....i can feel and see the difference. I ahd a Tummy Tuck done a few years ago so no i dont have excess skin there, but YES i do have the excess skin really bad on my thighs and hips...i have bolgers thats where im still big:confused:.....i dunno how to get rid of it...maybe plastic surgery is the only way.....or im wondering if certain exercise will help....anyone else know.....maybe Cam??

Gday Fee and All, Today was warm, perfect weather. I was feeling good today so I walked from my place in Caulfield to Starbucks in Malvern. That is the next suburb over from where I am. I was fanging for a decaf.:biggrin1:

When the Optifast period is over I can have regular coffee again. Sip,sip, sip, not gulp ey girls?!!!:D

I was thinking today that I need to exercise and be as active as I can, given my health, to earn the right to sit at my computer at night. I will get there.

Fee, maybe plastic surgery could address the concerns you have about the loose skin.

Susannah

I can eat pizza - but very slowly and only one slice. And think crispy crust is much better than thick.

Regarding goals, I think you have to decide when you get there. A size 16 maybe isnt obese, but I'm still too big. I have too many handfuls of fat that I can grab (although it "could" be excess skin I suppose, just because it doesnt hang doesnt mean you dont have it"). Around 70kg is a fantastic weight for me becuase it depends on your build and despite being a regular exerciser, I dont have heavy musculature, I need to be at the lighter end of my weight range.

I have a girlfriend my height and weight and she fits into a 12!

I'm fine to eat pizza too, I just make sure I take tiny bites and chew it really well. Well thats pretty much my routine with all food. I haven't had any issues with any food I've tried since banding and I haven't PBed yet, I'd love for it to stay that way. My Dad PB's with his band at least every couple of days, and it doesn't look like fun! However, all of this might change once I get to a better fill level, I'm going for another one on the 7th Feb, I'm hoping he'll give me another 1.5 mls. We'll see!

Hey girls, Are we ever gonna have a guy chatting here?:D :biggrin1: I just watched a streamed webcast of a lapband surgery. It was suprisingly easy to watch, very little bleeding, done very efficiently. I am the girl that always covers her eyes when RPA is on telly, but I watched this easily.

As for pizza, I thought as you couldn't stomach bread, that pizza would be out. I am a bit of a virgin to all this.:biggrin1:

This time next week I will be in bandland.

pizza yum... i just had some myself. Im making the most of all the things i may not be able to eat again once banded. I really like white fresh bread and im told that will be out. What other foods are likely to disagree with me??
