1sunnuri 77 Posted August 26, 2013 Okay y'all. ..this is my first and finest NSV. I had my surgery with Dr. Illan on August 12th in Tijuana. I went to my PCP today and he took me completely off my diabetes medicine. I have been type 2 diabetic for 9 yrs. I have never been able to control it a good day for me was 250. The dr. Had told me my kidneys were going to fail if I didn't do something. I already had the numbness on my feet and my fingers. This surgery was my last chance. This surgery. has literally saved my life. Thank you Susan and Omar most of all thank you Dr. Illan. 16 supbanana, *susan*, MIJourney and 13 others reacted to this

Pookeyism 1,143 Posted August 26, 2013 I have been in full remission since March of '12. It is an awesome feeling (although I will never give up 2x week random tests and A1C tests every 4 months). 1 Ms skinniness reacted to this
Ms skinniness 3,003 Posted August 26, 2013 My A1C is in the normal range since the surgery and I love it. I do know that I will have to always be careful of the sugar due to the possibility of the diabetes coming back....But I can live with this....

1sunnuri 77 Posted August 27, 2013 Thank you everyone and yes I have walked around all day with this silly grin on my face. It is definitely an awesome feeling. I know I will always have to watch it and yes I will continue to test also doing my A1C check. It is a small price to pay though. Peace and Blessings everyone. 1 Ms.AntiBand reacted to this

1sunnuri 77 Posted August 29, 2013 You will b very well taken care of. The hospital is nice and clean. It is a holistic healing center. The cafeteria is all organic and vegan. Your care will b be very good. Not a lot of English but the point gets across. Omar ur patient coordinator is absolutely awesome he will take primo care of you. The hotel is beautiful. Dr. Illan will answer any of ur questions. You will b checked on by a Dr. While u r n the hotel. I can not say anything bad about my experience. It was really like a mini vacation ...except with major surgery. ..lol 3 Diamondeyed, BeeLee37 and leslie1958 reacted to this
