Another vitamin question...

Recommended Posts

I use the Centrium Silver chewable - it doesn't have a lot of Iron in it, so I also take a Celebrate iron supplement a couple of times a week.

I got the bariatric chewable from Twin Lab from Vitamin Shoppe. 60 of em for $12. Not a bad deal. And they taste better than the Flinstones chewables (which my dr doesn't recommend)

My surgeon says gummys and swallowables are ok 2 weeks post-surgery. I have been chewing the Centrum flavor bursts 4 chewables 2 times per day and they are soooo sweet I can't stand it! I tried GNC chewable mutli-vitamins for women again so disgusting tasting I can't get them down.... I would be interested to know what you end up with, not having good luck with products myslef!

I'm not tolerating the children's chewable multi-Vitamin with Iron supplements. Can anyone recommend a good tasting chewable? Are Gummy Vitamins okay?

I use these they have chewable and a powder you can put into your Water and specifically for wls patients!

My surgeon Dr. Copper told me no Gummy, just chewable tablets. He told me your body does not absorb all that Vitamins in a gummy texture.

I use the bariatric advantage' date=' i crush them up and mix it with 1/4c of Greek yogurt, this way my yogurt taste tropical, i get Protein and i can manage them better! Becuz they are DISGUSTING! It takes me 30 min to eat it but it works![/quote']

Maybe it's the flavor of the Bariatric Advantage chewables that you ordered. I like the Lemon Lime and just finished a 90 count bottle. Just received the orange chewable today. Tastes like Tang.

My favorite thing from BA is the Calcium chews. I love the caramel flavor - my nightly "candy" treat.

Donamay: suggest you get a chewable multi without Iron. Iron can cause Constipation. I experimented with lots of iron tablets and finally found Ferasol, a plant-based iron that is non- constipating. Avail at Walgreens.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
