I agree you are doing a fantastic job & should be extremely proud of your accomplishments so far & your continued success in the future. The scale not moving but still losing inches is your body's way of catching up. I am not anywhere near being as far out as you are as I am just over 5 weeks out but from all the research I have done plus all the reading I have done on here as well you are doing an amazing job & just try to be patient as your body tries to catch up with all the weight you have lost & will continue to lose. I know it is easier said then done as we all want our results asap & everyone gets frustrated & somewhat discouraged when the scale stops moving temporarily as I did when I was only 2 weeks out but I have been trying to prepare myself for the stalls & to try to teach myself that they are normal & why they happen & all that still but please be proud of all you have done so far & keep your head held high along this journey. Keep faith in God to help you through your journey as all things are possible through him!!!! I wish you lots more success on your journey & always remember that the weight did not appear overnight or even in a few months. It took a while for us to get where we were & it will take a while to get to where we want to be, that is why it is called a journey :) enjoy the ride to a better, happier, healthier you!!!!

I'm a slow loser too. No IUD or any other type of bc for me. I say the inches are more important than pounds, especially if you are working out! 61lbs is more than you would have lost without the surgery, correct?

Just keep up the hard work and all the weight will come off, just don't eat more calories than what you are burning. :)

The IUD should not keep you from losing weight. But have you had your thyroid checked? You have done a great job but if you feel like you are lacking energy and not losing go to your PCP and ask for the blood work.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
