Panni then tummy tuck?

Recommended Posts

Has anyone gotten a panni and then got a Tummy Tuck afterwards?? I ask because I'm 5 months out and have already lost over 100lbs and I have alot of hanging skin, it's causing rashes and getting in the way. I want a tummy tuck when I'm done loosing all the weight but I've been wondering if a panni would be something I should look into at this point to kinda hold over until I loose the rest... This excess skin is really annoying and I feel like its kinda holding me back in a way... Any advice/tips would be great thanks

I've been doing a lot of research into plastics these days - generally you want to be at goal and have been thee for at least 3 months for skin surgery. I would suggest Shapewear in the meantime - I've noticed that the skin continues to really change and shape up in many areas as you continue to lose. You look young from your avatar photo - that is an even bigger bonus, you have much better chances of some of that skin snapping back after time. Generally, if you have 60+ lbs to lose - you can expect that skin surgery will improve your contours. if you are looking at hundreds of lbs (my real deal goal puts me at close to 200 down - lets talk about flappy skin galore lol) - the best option is LBL - lower body lift or belt lipectomy - cut all the way around and pull your lower half up like a pair of pantyhose - sounds like the worst healing pain imaginable but I will gladly endure it to get rid of the scary flabby skin between belly button and top of my knees. Someday - I am working on getting the last of the weight off and increasing muscle mass under the fat.

Real Self is a great site to learn about plastics and see snapshots - sorry about the underline - I cannot edit my posts unless I write them in a word processing program and then paste - ugh.http://www.realself.com/

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
