You look like a different person! Really! Not even the same man in that second picture!

I see a happy healthy man in that second picture that looks like he has always been that way!

Oh **** mans room...

Go on "recycled" jump down my throat I messed up :P

No jumping here.......I'm sure the OP will agree, compliments from females are always welcomed.

Always like the positive feedback. Especially from the ladies. ;)

Thanks All for the compliments. I never thought I would go through surgery to be where I am now but it surely is a life changer (saver) and I'm very thankful I've had no real issues like from some I've read.

Modern medicine, good Doctors and work on my behalf has made my 2nd half of life horizon so much brighter!

I'm reporting all of your naughty women posting in the man room. You know the rules state you'll be flogged lol. I'm happy for the perspective you bring to the thread. Just don't post when we talk about our man parts successes or problems, or else you may go deaf or blind or something like that. Lol.

Truly impressive. thanks for the advice too. Now you can go rock the dog pound. I am 6 weeks out and working hard with the same rules. Fortunately i love exercise. I am only able to get 1000 calories a day ( max) but i make 100gm Protein. i suppose with time that will change.

OMG....You have done great!!!!! How much has been lost since surgery?

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
