Recovering from a long day of floating the river and after looking at the pics from the trip I actually liked what I saw. After 13 years of hating 95% of pictures I was in its nice to not cringe and untag myself from shared FB ASAP then send death threats to my friends that posted them lol.

Would love to see others summer fun pics as well. We are all getting healthier and happier and summertime is a great way to show off the new you :) no more hiding behind others in pictures...show your stuff with your head held high

Have to get back to civilization to upload some new before pics off my comp then I will post my summer fun pics as well

Thank you :) and you'll have some great new you for the holiday pics to share before next summer rolls around I promise.

I'm 5'4" and hw was 230 and cw is 146. Vsg was done in Mexico on 10/15/12. My goal weight was 150n I hit it before 9 months out, but I decided maybe another 10 pounds from now would be good too. So new goal of 135 (not holdin my breath lol).

No plastics yet, but I think every other sentence out of my mouth contains the words "new boobs" so that's number one on the list. Everything is really better than I expected it to be, but there's some nips n tucks on my wish list to eventually have done.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
