Went in Friday the 23rd - home Saturday! No problems, just feel a bit icky, gassy (gas x is helping!). Just walking around the house for now (its 3 am). My granddaughter (5) has been so helpful! *lol* She gives me pillows, tells me to walk etc. She wants me in great shape for Disney! I look forward to using the nutribullet. Anyone else use nutribullet for shakes?

I use the Nutribullet all the time, it mixes things up really well. Just beware of the froth at the top, I usually scoop it off before drinking. I had horrible gas/nausea after surgery and walking was the ONLY thing that made it go away. After the first 3-4 days, it gets so much better. Good luck to you and your goal of Disney with your Granddaughter....now that is a great goal !!!

thank you! It's time for mickeys not so scarey halloween again *lol* the perks of living in florida! I feel fortunate that I am feeling so ok. It's day 2 have had beef and chicken broth on the second glass of Water. I am fortunate to feel so good as I have read about some who have suffered the first few days. I will remember to remove the froth.

That is so cute! Your little grand daughter and you are going to hand a blast. I love how she's "helping" :)

Glad you're doing well.

I use my nutribulllet all the time! My kids drink their Breakfast (fruit and yogurt smoothies) and for my Protein Shakes, and to make Protein supplemented instant pudding. Sugar and fat free, of course. There will be a lot of froth at the top of your shakes. I highly recommend getting a couple of sippy cups to drink them out of. I read the tip from someone on here and tried it since we have them around the house anyway. You can get past the froth to the milk without scooping off anything that might be valuable.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
