soyfpine0405 0 Posted August 25, 2013 I am a stomach sleeper. If I sleep on my back or side, I can't sleep. Will I be able to sleep on my stomach right after surgery??
No game 14,437 Posted August 25, 2013 San Jose! I live in Los Gatos but I had my surgery in San Jose (I just saw your other post about it) I'm a stomach sleeper too. The first week or so was hard because I couldn't lay on my stomach. For the most part I slept semi propped up.. I read that one or two people actually slept on their stomach right away, but for me the pain factor made it impossible.

notime 340 Posted August 25, 2013 I couldn't sleep on my stomach for about a week, but was exhausted from the surgery, so I did fall to sleep.
CouchToHealthy 9 Posted August 25, 2013 I didn't have much pain after surgery. I slept propped up for 3 nights, then on my side with a pillow applying pressure to my belly for about 2-3 nights, and then one morning about a week after surgery I randomly woke up on my stomach. Been sleeping like that again since. The only thing is that I cant really strain too much to get comfortable... The stretching of my belly feels uncomfortable. CocoaThick83 0 Posted August 27, 2013 I was sleeved on June 28 & am also a stomach sleeper. From June 28 all the way to July 27 I slept in a recliner chair @ almost a 90° angle!!! It was horrible. I wanted so badly to sleep in my bad & tried a few times but every time I tried I put myself in excruciating pain. I mean even to lay in my bed on my side was terrible. I say take it easy & try with caution.
