I am sure that my car is so used to going to Pennington's that when I say I need some new clothes the car automatically takes me there..The cost of clothes there are 3 times more expensive then at regular stores...

Yesterday I was introduced to Walmart and was able to get jeans a lot smaller then I used to wear and they fit...They fit! I can't remember the last time I bought clothes at an other store then Pennington's. It was the only place that carried my size.....

It was a great feeling to put on these new clothes and be like everyone else almost who can buy at a regular store....

Now that is progress...Yes!!!!!!!!!!

I am having to go buy clothes for work and looking at all the clearance racks right now for summer. Fortunately I live in Florida so summer runs until mid to late October. I am hoping some of the fall stuff will be on clearance by then. I tried the thrift stores but not much luck. I have found a few things at Walmart as well. I just don't want to spend a lot on clothes that I won't wear for another season.

Its a good bad problem. :)

I know the feeling.....It is like I am renting clothing right now....That is why I was so happy I can now wear other stores clothes.....cheaper for sure...I also go to thrift stores....Found some satin black PJ's yesterday..Was so stoked and when I got home they weren't there..My husband put them back...GRRRRRR...I could have strangled him on the spot!

Maybe he likes seeing the new you! :) I love shopping now and I am trying not to go overboard with getting new clothes. It's just so liberating to be able to go into shops I have only longed to go in. I have a daughter who is a size 0 a very successful surfing competitor and beautiful. I don't understand how I could give birth to her and still be me!! I am so proud of her and yet it has saddened me for so long to buy her beautiful clothes and me go to the same crap they always peddle in the stores. Now I can shop with her and buy at the same store this is wonderful but I have to be careful about buying because I know it will end up being a waste of money. So I buy carefully for what I need right now and look forward to the next time I need smaller. :)

My daughter shops with me too...We actually bicker about our tastes in clothes.....She says I need to get into this century...I laugh because I think she is too old to wear some of the stuff she wears....It is so much fun..We never got to do this before....We have bonded over clothes too now..Love it!!!!!!!

Oh, I love Penningtons and Additionelle! I shop online now, and go there whenever I am in Quebec, but I'm also excited to not "have to" shop there. And they are so expensive! I love the bonding over clothes - I used to shop a lot with my aunt, who is one of my best friends, and I haven't been able to shop with her in years. Looking forward to doing that again soon.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
