So I am about 3 months post op and 50 lbs down which is great! What's not so great is my skin on my belly is starting to sag and same thing right under my love handles. Not sure what to do to make it shrink. I am only 22, thought my skin would have better elasticity!

It is WAY too soon to worry about sagging skin! Your skin will adapt and shrink, just be patient and give it time. You have youth on your side, and I'm sure your skin will conform to the new body within 6 months of you reaching your goal weight.

The one thing I always remember is "skin i the largest organ". I suggest you moisturize, moisturize and moisturize some more. This was my biggest concern prior to surgery especially with my thigh being so big but thankfully I don't have excess sagging. I really believe its because I moisturize from head to toe with a "Sweet Almond Oil" once a day. Some times I do it twice a day.

I use the almond oil because I like the way it makes my skin feels. Hubby even commented that he didn't remember be ever feeling so soft. Now he touches me all the time.

I am almost 37 and my belly didn't fair well after losing all the weight, but I had stretch marks from having babies. If you don't have any stretch marks then your skin should bounce back after time. I am having a Tummy Tuck in three weeks to finish out my journey....I will still have some stretch marks left over because I have them above my belly button, but no matter what my loose belly still looks better then my fat belly ever did. Lol

Good luck!

It's a little soon to know how your skin will do. You do have youth on your side. Even at 51, I find my skin tightening more than I thought it would. At 8 months out, its a little better than a month or two ago. Just give it a little time and see how it goes. And exercise is your friend - toning muscles will improve your look.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
