ausmith 374 Posted October 12, 2013 Hello my wonderful Oct Sleevers!!!! My surgery is scheduled for Oct 22 and I'm currently doing my 2wk liquid pre-ops. Can I just tell you I'm 5 days in and this plain SUCKS! I know this is somehting I have to do and is for my own good' date=' but OMG. Anywho... the first few days (Mon-Wed) I was only able to get 2 shakes down and I had maybe 3 tablespoons of veggies. I needed that chewing motion badly. Please tell me that that is is all normal and that I'm not the only one that this has happened to..?? Thurs was the first day I was able to actually do shakes for Breakfast, lunch and dinner and it looks like today will be another successful day. Other liquids include Water, non-calorie drinks (crystal light), broth and Jello. How much weight is expected to be lost..? Ive heard 10-20lbs from my Dr's office. I havent weighed myself, but I feel lighter and my clothes are fitting better. Thanks for all your input and encouragement!! Lei[/quote']My husband and I are also on the 22nd in Australia. If the pain meds you were sent home with aren't working and you are still really uncomfortable, then you need to make sure something else isn't going on.
