alchaley 29 Posted August 23, 2013 I know Chapstick is a must!! What else?? I'm getting sleeved 9/3 and want to make sure I bring all that I need for me and hubby too. What items aren't on the traditional lists that you wish would have been?
mokee 588 Posted August 23, 2013 I did not use anything I brought. Just yourself. You are so out of it you need nothing including a bathrobe. I used another hospital gown backwards when I walked. Best of luck. 1 Ballermom reacted to this
Elliejmiller 24 Posted August 23, 2013 i was honestly so tired that i just slept the 3 days, and when i wasnt sleeping i was going potty or walking lol when i first woke up i didnt want to be in the gown anymore so i had my mom help me and put on pants and tshirt... just so i was not worried about a boob popping out or etc. it didnt rub or hurt any. i also put my hair in a braid because you are not going to want to worry about your hair the time you are there... it was so nice cause i got to take a shower and not worry about my hair too. i took a blanket that smelled like home, just to make me feell a little better those blankets are rough at the hospital slippers or flipflops i took little bags of goodies to give my nurses too, they did such a amazing job on me and i wanted to be sure to thank them... gum, candy, pens etc just fun little thanks for all you did for me 1 leanerlena reacted to this
LipstickLady 25,682 Posted August 23, 2013 Best thing I took was my extension cord so I could reach/charge my iPad and phone while I was in bed. I was only there overnight so I didn't need much, but my robe, slippers, lip balm and lotion made me much more comfortable. A loose bra for the way home will make you happy, too. Non-underwire. 1 leanerlena reacted to this
notime 340 Posted August 23, 2013 The hospital provided all I needed including slippers, the backwards gown described by Mokee as a substitute for a robe, toothbrush and paste, etc. Ask this question at the surgeon's office. They should have the answer based on what your hospital provides or doesn't provide..
Ballermom 803 Posted August 23, 2013 Almost nothing. I didn't use anything but PJ s gas x and slippers. Rarely used cell phone and charger. Pillow for ride home. But I packed a load of stuff. Lol Good luck 1 gamergirl reacted to this
